Answer:	the top hook sticks out about 4 inches and the bottom one about 2 and a half.

Answer:	mine came in at 1.75 inches. I have standard 1-3/8 doors and i had to put plenty of foam tape to close the gap. I was prepared for 1.5 as described so it wasn't ideal but it works provided you don't mind the hanger sticking out a half inchI got the quad hooks. Don't know if all styles measure the same

Answer:	On plastic keeps very well ... but if the surface of the plastic is not smooth, it may be a problem.

Answer:	We have a tile that has some texture to it and it didn't hold well. HOWEVER, after painting a generous film of rubber cement on the area, letting it mostly dry out, and then mounting it... worked like a charm. Just rub the extra cement off after it is fully dried.
