Answer:	if you cleaned off the old it probably would. I may fill up some cracks and stop a leak but ro do it right the old would need removed and the surface prepared for new stuff.

Answer:	It is in my opinion a water based heavy duty paint. Drying time is key with low humidity and no dew. Sunlight helps it dry. Just paint it thin and see how it dries the lower you go below 65ish. Apply thin coats to use up the container over a 10x10 area.

Question:	What is the coverage per gallon
Answer:	I used this product to paint the roof of my RV and it worked very well. The space covered was 10X 25 and there were existing cracks and leaks. I put on two thin coats and still had 30% left over. No leaks for the past two years.
Question:	I’ve got a 1600sq ft metal roof. How thick should this be applied and how much do I need
Answer:	I think 3 buckets should easily do it. The buckets say 450 feet per bucket (from memory) so you could order 4 to be on the safe side. The stuff keeps well. I store my leftovers inside. I just recoated my 1800 sq ft roof, it took just under 3 buckets. The leftover is always good for retouching spots or special areas. It should go on not miserly thin, and not gooey thick, but a nice medium coverage. I would say, so you don't easily see the metal roof's patterns/markings, but then mine goes over previously applied coats over the years. Get some of the patching product too to keep on hand. Have fun!

Answer:	You can apply protectant by using lambswool First wipe off all excess product or this may make the shades tacky. Next, apply with lambswool applicator allowing this to sit for ten minutes. When finished wipe off with a rag. Lastly wash the applicators and the rags with warm soapy water and lay outside to dry.

BEFORE APPLICATION

Sweep off all dirt, dust, and debris. Remove rust, mildew, oil, grease, or other foreign material on the surface. Allow freshly applied asphalt roofs to cure a minimum of 4 weeks prior to applying this coating. Scrub roof with roof cleaner or bleach solution (1 part chlorine bleach and 3 parts water). Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.

Question:	What about a concrete tile roof? What tint to change the color? Thanks
Answer:	I don't really know, but doubt it. It will probably lift off. I scrubbed my car haul trailer roof clean with bleach and spic n span and applied 5 coats over the summer with a roller. It didn't help. I still had leaks and had to tarp it. The stuff peeled off in layers in some spots, seemed to stick in others -but time will tell. This year, I poured the stuff on (I bought a 5 gallon pail) since the stuff set up ok in a pie tin I used to hold a smaller pail for painting on the spots that were troublesome last year (without success). It peeled off in thick layers. I tried Flex seal paste for the dip that peeled off. I would think you would have to scrub your roof very clean and am still not sure it would stick well. The wind sometimes blows it off both the wood and metal parts of my roof.

Answer:	Yes, but a REALLY big and powerful one. I'm talking a 10k kind of sprayer. You won't find these at box stores and most paint stores won't have them on the floor.

Answer:	The label says you can coat over Tar as long as it has dried out- not freshly applied.

Answer:	Every substrate is a little different. You should apply No more than 100 square feet per gallon BUT two coats are required. So your maximum net coverage is 50 square feet per gallon. Keep in mind different substrate have different porosity so you may very well get 75 square feet per gallon per cost.

Answer:	It’s gray. I also bought a pail of gr1600 white for the second coat. The contrast between the colors made it much easier to avoid missing areas with the second coat.

Answer:	absolutely not; it peeled off after only a few months. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. i followed directions precisely, and now i have a mess and dead fish.
Question:	Will this work on a RV rubber foof
Answer:	When I applied it to my RV it would pull up if not fully dry. Once dry it seemed to stick fine. They make a primer to improve adhesion but I did not use it. I am pretty satisfied with the product, but to get thin coats is not easy without the proper tools (thin nap roller and squeegee) If concerned about sticking to your roof, I'd recommend checking out the primer.

Question:	Can this be used on rubber roofs
Answer:	Yes, as long as its aged and cleaned well.
Question:	How many sq ft does 5 gallons cover
Answer:	You should apply 2 coats at no more than 100sqft per gallon. So a maximum of 250sqft with 2 coats applied. Keep in mind that some substrates get less coverage.
Question:	what temps can this be applied in i assume atleast above freezing
Answer:	Do not apply in temperatures below freezing, above 120°F (49°C) or if rain is expected within 2 hours.
Question:	Is it possible to use this product on the top of asphalt shingles
Answer:	Not for 3 tab or architectural shingles no.
