Answer:	No heating. It is like a heavy paint and required heavy mixing before use. I use a power drill and paint mixer paddle. But needs to be used at temperatures above 70F so it can dry.

Answer:	No.. this stuff it’s going to allow you to recycle or fill cracks. It’s more like paint. It won’t work to fill any cracks or mix it with gravel..

Answer:	I pour a little out enough to cover about 6-8 sq ft and then use an applicator that has a broom on one side and a squeegee on the other. I brush the sealer on to fill the cracks and then use the squeegee to move the excess to the next area to be covered.

Question:	Can this be used on exposed aggregate concrete. If not, can you recommend something
Answer:	DryWay can be used, but not advised. Our LastiSeal Brick & Concrete Sealer would be the better choice of sealer. If you are looking for a glossy finish, use an acrylic sealant.
Question:	what type of sprayer is recommended
Answer:	I would (and did) use an 18”roller. A sprayer will not put down enough product. However, I’m not pleased with this product overall and would recommend you use a different waterproofer.
Question:	Has anyone uses this product to seal the concrete floor in a garage? Just built a new garage and want to find somthat will prevent oil stains and what not. Thanks
Answer:	It's an excellent product that would certainly work. I would be more inclined to use epoxy in the garage however.
Question:	When applying this product does the temperature of the concrete and surround air matter? What is the recommended range
Answer:	The instructions tell you to apply the product when air and surface temperatures are between 45 and 90 degrees. I applied in the summer, but waited until late afternoon when the sun was not shining on the surface. I applied with a 3/8" nap roller. The instructions tell you to put on a thin layer, which is pretty much what I did. I just tried to spread the liquid evenly. Sometimes it would pool lightly, but that didn't seem to cause a problem. Within a few minutes, it was drying and it eventually dried evenly. It has been months now and the surface still obviously has the sealer on it. It's not visible, but when the lawn is watered, the water doesn't sink into the concrete. A thin layer of water stays on top of the concrete. So it definitely works as advertised. But I can tell you this. The sealer will not prevent the black algae fungus that typically develops on concrete from forming. I live in Florida, and that already is beginning to happen to my sealed concrete. So you're going to need to clean the concrete eventually after you've sealed it. I think sealing the concrete will prevent oil leaks from penetrating deep into the concrete as they typically do. But it won't stop the fungus from forming.

Answer:	I have in the past applied the year after the initial coat. It seemed to work well. I would not use a power washer, however, since that might strip the previous year's coat.

How To Apply The Concrete Sealer

Please make sure that the air and driveway temperature is a minimum of 40°F and a maximum of 100°F for three hours following application.

Once your surface is free and clear of any dirt and debris, use a low pressure pump-up garden sprayer to apply a thin, even layer. The use of a sprayer will allow you to evenly coat your driveway.

The surface should remain wet for 2-3 minutes before final absorption.

Avoid puddling or ponding; brush or broom to spread material until the sealer thoroughly penetrates the surface.

Surface will be dry in 2-6 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Allow 24 hours before driving on surface.

Question:	Will toughcrete 8500 work on a garage floor that has already started to pit
Answer:	My garage floor was pitted due to road salt in the Chicagoland area. I scrubbed and scraped the pitted areas with a metal ice breaking bar to remove any loose material, washed it with concrete cleaner and then applied the Toughcrete. It's been two winters now and I don't see any new or worsening pitting.
Question:	I have a new garage with new concrete. can i apply this before we start using it or do i have to wait? also can i apply colored sealer over it later
Answer:	Ideally you should wait approximately one month for the concrete to fully cure after it is poured to apply ToughCrete - at that point you are definitely safe to apply ToughCrete. To answer your second question, applying a colored sealer later on is going to be fine. ToughCrete is a breathable sealer and will penetrate into the capillaries of the concrete and prevent water absorption and the surface of the concrete (after some time and wear and tear) should be in good shape for a colored sealer to go over top. There should be no adhesion issues but we always recommend doing a test sample prior to applying another product over top of ToughCrete to ensure the adhesion is acceptable. Question:	Is the surface slippery when it is wet
Answer:	I used the concrete sealer on stamped concrete. When the stamped concrete was originally poured it, the first coat of sealer was sprayed 2 days after the concrete dried. Because the concrete was new the density of the concrete varies and in some spots it had more shine that other places. which makes it difficult to determine how slippery it could become. One year later I sprayed the second coat as stated by the installers. This second coat evened out the shine, but I have not had a problem with a slippery surface, even when walking down a slightly inclined ramp. The product works exactly as described. Outstanding product.
Question:	Can i use this inside and will it withstand animal urine
Answer:	Yes, this product has been proven to be successful against repelling animal urine. However, in regards to it being used indoors, sometimes concrete floors indoor are hard troweled and don’t have a ton of porosity for the sealer to penetrate into. Answer:	I don't know for sure about 10 years, although they guarantee it for that long. Just did my driveway 6 months ago and it looks good so far.

Answer:	No gloss look. When dry looks the same as before it was applied. When rains it puddles in some places. It was exactly the look I wanted around my pool.

Answer:	Stored at room temperature the SX5000WB will last at least one year. It's not uncommon for the product to still be usable closer to two years.

Answer:	This is a sealant for pavers, etc. Radon Gas: no! You may need to see a contractor.
Question:	Do you have a product with a longer life span? I
Answer:	7-10 years is typical for a high quality, high solids Silane-Siloxane water repellent sealer. That is considered to be the max life of any good water repellent. The only type of sealer that is longer lasting is a silicate sealers like the Armor S2000 or Armor L3000. Silicate sealers chemically react to form a calcium silicate hydrate barrier within the pores that reduces the sizes of the pores, therefore increasing the strength and density. The calcium silicate hydrate can only be removed when the concrete itself is removed. Silicate sealers don't cause water and other liquids to bead off the surface however. The only benefit you get with a silicate sealer is an increase in strength and density.

How Does It Work?

Application:

The Armor SX5000 WB is very easy to apply.

Step 1: Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of any other sealers or coatings. If the surface has been pressure washed, allow at least 24 hours for the substrate to completely dry.

Step 2: Using a roller or sprayer, apply 1 even coat. While the surface is still wet, apply a second coat.

Step 3: Allow the surface 24 hours to fully react and dry. Do not apply if it is expected to rain within 24 hours. Ensure any irrigation systems are turned off, or directed away from the newly sealed surface.

Will the surface be slippery when wet? No, the Armor SX5000 WB will not leave behind a slippery surface film. It works entirely below the surface in the pores.

Is the product UV stable? The Armor SX5000 WB works below the surface, inside the substrate and is not exposed to UV rays.

How long does the product last? The Armor SX5000 WB can last for up to 7-10 years before the need to reseal. While the surface water bead isn't visible on all surfaces, the product is still working hard from within the pores. Question:	can it be used on flagstone
Answer:	The AR500 should not be applied to Flagstone. Acrylics usually delaminate prematurely from natural stone and clay surfaces.
Question:	Can this also be used for wet cast pavers/block
Answer:	Yes, in the product description it says poured concrete and concrete pavers. It just says not to use it for brick or natural stone. Wet cast is pretty much the same thing as poured concrete which is what this product is used for.
Question:	Can I use it on top of Behr wet look water based silicate sealer
Answer:	The AR500 should not be used over Behr wet look sealers (compatibility issue).
Question:	I have a patio and a side walk I'm considering doing. Other than cleaning the surface, how is this applied
Answer:	Hi! The key with any acrylic is making sure that the surface is completely dry. Once you have cleaned it, allow it to dry for 24 hours before applying the AR500. It is best to apply the AR500 in the late afternoon or early evening, when the concrete has had a chance to cool from exposure to the hot sun. You can apply it with a 3/8"-1/2" shedless nap roller. Two coats are suggested if this is your first time sealing so get a nice consistent gloss. Space the coats out 12-24 hours. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Will the surface be slippery when wet? Yes, the surface may be slippery when wet because the sealer prevents water from absorbing into the surface. Foundation Armor manufactures a fine non-slip additive and a coarse non-slip additive that can easily be mixed into the sealer before applying.

How long does the sealer last? The Armor AR500 can last up to 2-5 years before the need to reseal. Question:	What’s the difference between this and the toughcrete
Answer:	Thanks for the question. The two products are very different. This product (ToughGloss) is an acrylic, film forming sealer that is designed to provide an attractive, semi-gloss sheen to the concrete surface. ToughGloss also acts as a sealer but has a shorter lifespan than ToughCrete because it is an acrylic (organic) so UV will break it down within a few years. ToughCrete is a silane/siloxane blend (inorganic) that penetrates the surface of the concrete and is more of a performance sealer that protects water and salts from penetrating the surface of the concrete for much longer than the acrylic film forming sealers. ToughCrete does not change the appearance of the concrete and this is why it is specifically designed for concrete driveways, walkways, etc. where as ToughGloss is designed for stamped concrete, paver patios, warehouse surfaces, and other hard troweled areas that people are looking to add some shine to. Answer:	As long as the slate is porous so it’ll absorb, then yes. If it’ll absorb water it will absorb the sealer.

Answer:	Yes. I have stamped concrete and it was previously sealed. The seal wears off. This sealer is absolutely amazing. I used the Sprayer Plus Industrial Construction 20 Acid sprayer that I purchased here on amazon. It goes on white and dries clear. It has a beautiful sheen when it dries not a shiny semi-gloss look. I will continue to use this product for years to come.
