| Answer: | I'm not especially strong but I lifted the rack onto a ladder and balanced it there with the help of another shelf, then I attached 4 rubber (heavy duty) bungee cords to each corner and hooked it to the ceiling mount. After those were all attached I could carefully keep tightening the cords by moving the hook further and further into the middle of the rack, lifting it up incrementally. Eventually you get to a point where you can 'hook' the rack onto the piece that comes down from the ceiling mount, so it's supported before you screw it in. |

| Answer: | Janet,First off, my ceiling joist run front to back in my garage. My racks are mounted on the back wall with the 48" width going front to back and the 96" length side to side. The predrilled mounting holes are spaced 16" apart along the long side and 24" on the side. Therefore, they are ready as you receive them for for both. The vertical adjustable drop straps are mounted every 48" so it doesn't make any difference which spacing your ceiling joist is since every 48" they match up anyway. If you put the rack in a back corner of a garage you could mount it with the short side on the back wall and the long side along the side wall. In that case you would need to either have 24" spacing in your ceiling joist or buy 3 48" (you can buy them this length at a hardware store, Lowes or Home Depot) pieces of angle iron to span 16" joist then use any of the holes available to get the 24 and 48" spacing at the ceiling. | Answer: | Yes, it is possible. The hangers won't slide like a normal clothes rod would but the hangers would fit in each of the small openings of the shelf. HyLoft makes another version of this shelf (HyLoft 777) that has a rod attachment underneath the shelf. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | There were no real instructions. There were some 'feet' that took the shelf off the ground, the uprights and the caps on the top. I used a hammer and a knife to take some of the tags off some of the pieces so they would fit. I had to use a little trial and error to put it together. Good Luck! |

If you are going to use the Wall Control hooks and accessories, they go into special vertical slots, so each of the three 32" (tall) by 16" (wide) panels must be installed in the correct orientation. The panels still have the standard pegboard holes as well, which would of course work with standard pegs no matter the panel orientation.On the Wall Control website, they do sell panels in sizes and shapes other than the 32" x 16" sizes that come with most of the kits. |

| Answer: | You do not need to leave any space. The way the pegboard is designed, it is already offset from the wall with any distance for the hangers to be hung without damaging your wall. A couple of things to note here, you can also use 1/8-inch pegboard pegs and accessories but they will fit much looser as these holes are designed for 1/4-inch pegboard pegs. | Answer: | Yes, and you can buy a bag of sleeves here for pennies. I have about 10 sets of shelves that I’ve bought here, Walmart, Aldis. The legs are all the same diameter so I’ve been able to interchange shelves to get what I want. The only issue I’ve had is the size of the shelves. Like others have said, check your measurements. If you use the shelf liners do some comparison shopping. Wide difference in price for same thing. I also found a heavy plastic shelf liner roll I can cut to fit. It has tiny parallel ridges that require cleaning with with a nap- like terry- but glasses sitting upside down can breathe so no “bad breath”. Items can be put away still damp as the ridges allow air to move. Love these wire shelves. |
