User questions & answers
Question: | How do you to do run capacitor and resistance like waterheater element car parts ???? Please reply |
Answer: | Great tool, as a manager for my apts, it's a tool you need in your bag. There is another tool you need to ck voltage, Klein, ck it out. |
Question: | Can I ohm a wire out with this one |
Answer: | Are the protective probe sleeves on the probes? If not removed the exposed tip is too small to make contact by just inserting the probe into a standard outlet. |
Question: | Does it come with a carry bag |
Answer: | It depends upon the source impedance of the 60 Vca. A very high source impedance, say through a high resistance very poor connection may not permit enough current (5 ma +/-) to flow through the T+Pro for it to vibrate. Putting the T+Pro in GFCI Test mode, will cause it to draw 20-30 milliamps for 1 second. You might try this test. Consider that my Metrix MX24 DMM from AEMC has an input impedance of 500K Ohms on the Low Z setting compared to 250K ohms for the T+Pro at 125 Vca. Impedance of T+Pro is toward the low end for testers and is designed NOT to read ghost voltages. T+Pro is a great little test tool, where a high impedance input is NOT desired. Hope this helps. See specs for T+Pro for more info. |
Question: | Bought the klein et60 when put probes into a live power outlet to test it nothing happens? what am i doing wrong |
Answer: | It will drop a bit of voltage, usually enough. But not near as much as a Wiggy, Tegam, anything that can fit the Fluke's stray voltage eliminator (87, 376, others). Fluke has other meters with a LoZ mode now too. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Who manufactures the meter |
Answer: | The name listed on the case, and the meter itself, is "Dr. Meter", and it is titled as "Dr. Meter Digital Illluminanc...B, O-200,000 Lux Luxmeter" model LX1330B. It shows a URL of "http.//www.drmeter.com". It was mfg. in China, but a USA contact is "Dr. Meter, 30075 Ahern Ave., Union City, Cal., 94587, w/ a phone number of #510-477-0249, & Fax as #510-477-0749. |
Question: | Can this measure LED grow light |
Answer: | Tl;dr is at the bottom because I have a lot of details. It can, but it is not recommended. Lux meters like this are designed to measure the intensity of visible light, which generally assumes you are measuring white light perceived by humans. What matters for plants (so what matters for your grow light) is Photosynthetic Active Radiation, PAR. PAR is a measurement of how many light particles, or photons, pass by a given point. This means that PAR will also get smaller the further you move from the light because it has dispersed more. Because PAR is much more difficult to measure than ambient light, it is much more expensive, generally in the $300-500 range. I would recommend either checking if your grow light has documentation on it's output in PAR, or contacting the manufacturer to ask. If they do not have this information, then follow their guidelines on how far to place the light relative to your plants. Tl;dr: Lux is not a good measurement for LED grow lights. See if you can find information about the light's output measured in PAR. Source: I designed an LED Grow Light and had to do all this research to figure out what to measure for it. |
Question: | Yes this a goodlight meter for photographers |
Answer: | I would not use it for photography. There are many better meters to use for that purpose. This meter is made for measuring foot candles and such and is useful for comparative light levels. Gossen or other photo meters would do better and be directly viewable with the scales on such a meter. |
Question: | I want to measure light pollution from out door lighting. Need accuracy below 1 lux eg (0.1 to 1 lux |
Answer: | From the instruction manual:Light-measuring levels ranging from 0.1 lux to 200,000 lux with auto zeroing and corrected for luminous efficiency function (manually calculated for non-standard light sources).Accuracy is described as: +- 3%+10dgt with a repeatability within 2%.ChuckJ |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this test through the wire insulation |
Answer: | Yes. You can tell if it is an energized cord/circuit. |
Question: | Why does my tester beep 6 times, flashes red then turns off |
Answer: | i never noticed mine beeping and flashing but it alway's shut's down unless you hold the power button down for a few second's. |
Question: | Hi what does a slow beep with a red light indicate it's not rapid. Thanks Tom |
Answer: | Klein non-contact sensors are known for being misleading, by blinking red and beeping even when there is no electrical current nearby. It does blink red and beep fast (and continuously) at 110v power and is pretty good for that. The slow blinks/beeps, even when touching wood or the edge of a kitchen counter, mean nothing. Some say it's due to very low voltage or 'phantom voltage' but this doesn't always seem to be the case. |
Question: | This pen tester make any sounds when it detects power |
Answer: | Yes it make a sound and flash red, but make sur than the tester is on green to be sure to test 120 volt because you have two options bleu for low voltage and green for 120 volts! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are you able to run the load test continuously? it just stops after a few seconds and says pass/fail. i’d like to run it until failure of dut |
Answer: | No, the internal load will not run continuously. An external load could be applied and measured up to 1000 hours as the description states. |
Question: | Does this device support Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 specifically |
Answer: | I would think so, it supports other generic and name brand chargers |
Question: | Will the 910 model also pass through data |
Answer: | I have the 900 model. I use mine for troubleshooting power issues on USB ports, and I had never thought to connect it to a date source. I plugged it into my MacBook and connected a USB thumb drive. I can read the drive through the Model 900. So next I connected a SeaGate portable hard drive. I can read that drive and monitor ithe port voltage and current. I haven't done anything to test the effect on read/write speeds, but it does pass through data. |
Question: | My et920 usb tester shows no voltage on the usb-c ports for leviton combo usb/120v outlet devices. it never lights up. is this normal |
Answer: | Update more info: the only usb-c cables I have found which will cause the LED to light-up on the Et920 without an actual device being plugged in, are the Apple usb-c to Lightning cables. I suspect this is b/c of circuitry apple has built into these cables. And even though these cables can "fast charge" certain apple devices at >5v, without a device plugged in, the Et920 always reports ~5V power and 0A with just the Apple cable plugged in. |

User questions & answers
Question: | where is the unit manufactured |
Answer: | As far as I know these only work with Leviton |
Question: | is there a printed color code on each side of the tool |
Answer: | Each tag has its own number |
Question: | The test button on most gfci's tests with a small current between neutral and hot. does this test by making a small current between hot and ground |
Answer: | Not that I know of or have ever seen. |
Question: | Instructions in package says "all appliances on circuit should be unplugged before testing to reduce erroneous testing." Isn't that difficult |
Answer: | Hello there. I have purchased 2 Omni IIe controllers: One 4 years ago, the "whole package" that has all the items in the picture... of course for more than $1.000 USD... Recently I was searching for the same product, but unfortunately I could'nt found it... I had to buy the item you've in the picture, but for about $750 it only includes the controller and the cabinet. I have to search in Amazon for the other items, like the battery, the phone switch, the console, etc, and I had to pay extra for those. Hope this helps. Juan |

Question: | does this fit MM |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Is it foam padded? Thanks |
Answer: | Very thin foam. DONT BUY THIS! Zipper broke after 1 week of use. Find something else from Milwaukee or another brand. Just because it's Klein doesn't mean the quality is there. |
