Mine are fed directly from a dc source so I fed one piece from the connector at the beginning of the strip and the other piece from the connector at the other end of the strip. If you are not feeding these directly from dc then you'll need to get another power supply and connector. Answer:	It depends on where you use them. The LED strip is waterproof but the battery pack is not. If the battery pack doesn't get wet they should be fine outside!
Question:	Does the remote work for multiple receivers? For use on 2 levels of home, do I need two brands to avoid turning on upper level when not wanted
Answer:	Absolutely - I've got one in my under-sink cabinet in the kitchen. It really helps when looking for items in the back. The strips can be trimmed down - there are marked cut points between each LED, so roughly every 2 inches.
Question:	Does the remote have to stay within 100 feet of the outlet for the timer to work or can you place the remote out of range once you program the outlet
Answer:	We don't know yet. We are using ours as under cabinet lighting and so they are not on for long periods of time. I've contacted the company to ask if they have done tests on battery life

Answer:	Yes, you could use remote to turn it on or off at any time(day time or night time), the remote should point the lamp cover, the remote distance is within 30ft , the default mode is Auto mode, which means it will turn on at dusk automatically, turn off 3 or 5 or 8 hours later decided by your set, and you could use remote to increase or decrease brightness, thanks.

Answer:	This is not motion activated. Beside this light heated up and caused all the lights in the upstairs room to go out. House is not that old. Horrible product! Lucky we did not have a fire.
