Pre-installation

Before installation, follow the instructions to remove knockouts to route wiring to connection terminals. Knockouts may be made ½ in. or ¾ in.

Place small blade screwdriver into inner ring of knockout circle. Tap down lightly with the screwdriver in order to punch the ½ in. knockout loose.

For ¾ in. knockout, create ½ in. first, then grip outer ring of knockout circle with pliers.

Gently twist and pull to remove outer ring and form ¾ in. knockout.

Answer:	A typical domestic water heater is 4500W for each element at 240V, but only one element is allowed to come on at a time. So that's 4500/240 = 18.75 amps. Even with a 10% or 20% margin, this Aube timer - rated at 30 amps - is more than sufficient. This item allows 7 programs. So you could have a different schedule of 1-off/1-on on 7 different days, or you could have 7 identical on-off cycles for all days. One of the beauties of this unit that distinguishes it from the others (including Intermatic digital timers) is that you can install an external SPST switch (a basic light switch will work fine) which overrides the unit and puts it into manual or switches it back into automatic. So, for example, I can use the switch to put the water heater into manual mode and leave it off when I go on vacation. Then, I leave instructions for my house-sitter to just throw the switch and put it back into automatic mode on her last visit so we have hot water when we get home from the airport.

Answer:	Yes, it can be set for different settings for specific days. has ability to set up to 7 different on/off pairs of settings. You can choose what days you want what settings used for. Its not the most intuitive programing I have ever used but once you understand the procedure it works well. Only problem I have run into is that I wish I had gotten a timer with a cover as I have had problems with toddlers playing with the exposed buttons and resetting things on me.

Answer:	Pizza can burn on the bottom because the fire is below the pizza stone. I have found that a long acclimation time works well. I build a fire using kindling and small pieces of wood stacked under larger pieces of wood. When the fire is roaring, I reduce the airflow in the fire pit and let the entire oven stabilize (more or less) at 500 to 700 F. I relocate the big pieces of wood (still burring well) to the outer edges of the fire pit so the direct flame is not directed to the pizza stone. Good luck and happy pizza making. Answer:	My guess is an internal failure. If you can see display, try setting so that power turns off. If power doesn't turn off, you have internal failure. If power turns off, try some other settings to see if they work normally.
