Question:	How many Watts does the unit itself consume
Answer:	According to the technical details on the product description page , this timer consumes a fairly high 1725 watts. However, when I checked a number of comparable digital timers, I found similarly high levels of wattage ranging from 1000w to 1850w. I find this very surprising since these timers have an LCD display and no motor like their mechanical counterparts. By way of comparison, my mechanical timers consume 1750w.
Question:	can this be used to turn off my router every three days ? sometimes it needs to be reset when I am out of town. It would need to be off for 1 minute

Question:	Can these timers be set to remain on for 3-4 days and then turn off? Thanks
Answer:	Yes it definitely can! These timers are great because you can choose whatever day or days of the week you want your product to turn on or off. So in your case, you could set the timer it to turn on say on Monday morning at 6 am and not turn off again until Thursday morning at 6 am. Or you can choose to have it turn on your products every day, every other day, or on and off multiple times in one day. They are very easy to program which is great because the first timers I bought were not easy to program and I just got rid of them because these are fantastic!
Question:	Are these quiet after they have been used for a long time? My mechanical ones start making loud noises after several months--very annoying
Answer:	My Century 7 timers are brand new. I have not experienced any loud noises coming out of them. Although they are on the larger side, they are wonderful, easy to program and reliable so far. I gave them as gifts and set them up for someone that I know. They work well for my friend.
Question:	Can someone explain to me how it works? I programmed them and they won’t turn on at the time
Answer:	As you cycle through pushing the on/auto/off button there will be two "autos" indicated. Only one of these will do the program. The other may cause operation at odd times.
Question:	Hi, i've bought this timer before, now i realize that it says 115 v admitted. i tried it with 220 v and it worked? long term use with 220v would work
Answer:	Never use any product that is not in the range of that which is stated on the product. You risk a fire and possibly an explosion. There are timers available for 220v. Contact Century with your dilemma.

Question:	I can not plug my lamp plug into the timer does not go all the way in Stops half way into the timer outlet
Answer:	The Fosmon timer 24 hour timer has two male prongs that attaches the timer to your wall outlet. If your lamp will plug into that wall outlet it should plug the timer outlet. If there is a problem with the timer outlet, you could use the second timer to check the outlet of the first timer to see if that outlet might be damaged. When doing this be sure the timer is “NOT PLUGED” into to the wall outlet.
Question:	Does this timer accept appliances with a ground plug? I cannot find a single photo of where it plugs in
Answer:	Both the female (to the appliance) and male (to the wall) plugs are two-prong polarized connectors. There is not a third, ground prong on either connection.
Question:	Is there a 12 hour (twice daily) cycle? I need plant lights on and off morning and evening
Answer:	you can have 12 hr or 24 hour so if you put the clock on a 12 hr cycle you should be able to have 2 on off cycles in a 24 hr period. Just not able to have more than one on off in a 12 hr period.
Question:	can you use with a crockpot
Answer:	Yes. Crockpots are a resistive load. This item is rated 15A resistive. All the crockpots I've seen are much less wattage; much less than even 500W.

Answer:	You CAN use this for a space heater if you're careful. If you do it wrong, you could start a fire as someone else stated. Regarding safety, if you're looking at the amazon ad for the 26892 model, the electrical limits are listed as 125V 50/60 Hz, 15A 1875W General Purpose/Resistive, 10A 1250W Tungsten, 1/2HP. The main thing is to make sure you don't exceed the amps and watts limits for the total load. Note, when you see tungsten, think conventional incandescent or halogen lights. Note that the limits for those are lower. All parts of the chain of devices from the outlet through the timer and any extensions must be able to support the maximum load you'll draw. So, if the outlet, and the timer, and the extension (if any) can safely provide enough power to the space heater, then it can work. The heater would probably have to be the only thing on the breaker that serves the outlet, and the only thing on the timer, and must draw less than the 1875W stated above.

Answer:	The way you worded your question, the answer is yes. You can use multiple features at once. There are three preset time intervals you can use, morning, evening, and all night. There is a 4th custom on and off time you can set. So, if you activate morning, evening, and custom, you could have 3 separate intervals where the load runs every day. Activating morning, evening, and all night will give a slightly different time period than just all night. If you activate countdown, you could have a 4th interval which would run once. So, if the preset time intervals work for you, you can have 2 preset intervals and one custom interval all running every day. But you cannot have multiple automatic custom intervals.
Question:	can you preset an amount of time, say "4 Hours" then when you want it to countdown, just push the countdown button and it shuts off after 4 hours
Answer:	The short answer is yes. 1. You set your time.2. choose your programmed time (they have 3 preset times)3. You can press the countdown then choose any time from 1 minute to 24 hours, hit the countdown, and it will go off automatically after the amount of time you chose for the countdown.4. you also can choose the manual override to turn it on or off manually at anytime.The only thing I do not like about this unit is you can not choose your own times for it to go on and off. You have to use one of their 3 preset times. You can use the countdown feature for any amount of time you want, (1 minute- 24 hours), but you would have to re-set the amount of time you want it to count down, each time you use it. Question:	How to change from 24 hour military time to 12 hour am/pm time
Answer:	It's easy to do, but requires opening the case (four screws on rear, then four screws on the back of the display portion) and dabbing a bit of solder. Once you've opened the case and separated the display part, look on the back of that display portion of the timer; you will be looking at the rear of the circuit board. Locate "C7" (printed on the board) and, directly below it, two sets of little pairs of "square solder pads" (think of it as two sets of stacked boxes, you'll see). If you solder the left pair together, it places the timer into 12-hour mode (and will now show AM/PM on the display!). Bonus: If you solder the pair on the right to each other, your timer will now display seconds (and can be programmed to the second - when in programming mode and holding down the Clock button, in addition to the usual Week, Hour, and Min buttons, the On/Off/Auto button sets the seconds). The above reads WAY more complicated than the process is; it is quicker to do both modifications than it is to remove the eight screws. This timer was designed to be sold worldwide and to use the local time format - but few bother to perform this step when initially building the timer. The same model is marketed under many companies' own brand name. Thanks to Spencer Clegg for posting these directions (with images) on his webpage. A search for "Chicago Electric Digital Timer Hack: Seconds Resolution" will bring up his instructional article. There is also mention of replacing this timer's (cheap) relay with a better one in the comments section, and this can also easily be done if required. Answer:	Actually a question to add to this. The question box never long enough. All I want is a countdown timer I can set to the exact minute at the moment to shut off an appliance at desired time once started. I have found timers with "custom" countdown timers but they are only in preset intervals like 1 - 5 - 10 - 15 -20 - 60, etc. Not very custom. Does this really let you set the countdown to any number of hours:minutes such as exactly 11 minutes OR exactly 2 hours, 7 minutes?

Answer:	Yes of course.Mine works well in duration of minutes and seconds.Some complain about the seconds function for there is no "second" button, but as i know we still are able to use the "Minutes & seconds" instead of only "Hour & Minutes".Here is the OPERATION: Press the SWITCH button --->Press and Hold the TIMING CYCLE button for 3 seconds,and the top set of numbers will flash (transformed to Minutes & Seconds Mode).Then the two parts of number (Hours & Minutes) represents (Minutes & Seconds).For Example, first Press the SWITCH button, then Press and hold the TIMING CYCLE button for 3 seconds, when the numbers flash, then Press the Hour button to adjust the number to 1,press the Minute button to adjust the number to 30.Other operation just the same.Job done.These are the steps for setting Minutes and Seconds cycling, hope it helps.

Answer:	Not sure where you got 800 watts.... the back of mine says 15 amps at 125v. 125X15=1875 watts. To be on the safe side I wouldn't use it on anything that draws more than 110*15=1650 watts.
