Question:	How long do the sensor batteries last before needing to be changed
Answer:	I have owned this product its been in constant operation 24/7 for 6 years now. My sensors have been outside ever since the day they came out of the box. Zero problems from any of the 5 sensors I have in use. I change out the batteries in each sensor twice a year to ensure that I avoid problems. So I know that the batteries are good for 6 months or more. CAUTION....PLACEMENT OF SENSORS IS CRUCIAL FOR THIS PRODUCT TO BE A USEFUL TOOL IN HOME SECURITY! It will take a bit of trial and error as the sensors are highly...well...sensitive! Be patient and they will become a valuable part of your security system.

Answer:	I bought a Gemini universal adapter years ago.
Question:	How loud is the alarm mode
Answer:	The receiver has an "alarm" mode and a "ding dong" mode. It is also equipped with another switch that controls the pitch of the setting you choose. These options are loud, normal, and silent. Silent mode causes the light to flash only. NO MATTER WHICH SETTING YOU PREFER, I GARAUNTEE IT TO BE LOUD ENOUGH THAT IT WILL NOT BE PLEASENT ON THE EARS! Excluding silent mode obviously. And because of its range and expandable features, you can place a receiver on your night stand. Don't know abt the other answer, but if this alarm is set to loud and happens to go off when im sleeping, the first thing im gonna do is take out the sensor with my 9mm. YES THIS PRODUCT IS LOUD!!
Question:	What type of batteries
Answer:	The kit I received includes a window/door sensor which requires a CR2032 "button" battery. The chime-unit requires two AA batteries. I had mistakenly read these prior answers to imply everything *except* a button battery. (I prefer to avoid items where a button battery is used and a pair of AAA batteries would have sufficed, mostly out of safety for my grandchildren and the serious medical complications that can come from swallowing one.) I may still have made the purchase. It's just that I would have spent more time looking elsewhere on the off chance of finding a unit without button batteries.

Question:	Can you put the receiver on a timer so you dont get notifications during sleeping hours or will you need to setup things each time it powers back on
Answer:	We’re not sure about with a timer. There is a battery backup, so it continues to work if unplugged/power goes out. We thought maybe you could take the batteries out, but then it doesn’t work at all. An option to prevent sleep disruption could be just turn the volume down when sleeping. Although you would need to remember to turn it back up when needed. That could be resolved by setting an alarm on your phone maybe.
Question:	Can a single elevated sensor pointed at a 120dg angle aimed at a driveway detect a vehicle being parked and then reset
Answer:	The sensor/transmitter will go off when it senses heat (as from a car). But after the car is parked & the people leave it, it would not keep going off. I Don't know how a constant exposure to heat effects the sensor transmitter so that it would detect a new source of heat approaching an existing source of heat. I would like the manufacturer to tell us.

Answer:	Works well at night. I have one set up to let me know when pigs come in to rut up yard.
Question:	can you use two receivers with one sensor
Answer:	I wanted a 2nd receiver, but I decided to buy the whole combo again, since the receivers were so expensive. I figured I may as well buy the combo . So I put up 2 sensor/transmitters & set them apart -- you probably need 7 feet between them for them to work separately. Then I set my 2 receivers for 2 different music clips. So a person enters the driveway & sets off alarm 1, then a few feet later, sets off alarm 2. But I have one receiver inside my house for me to hear & one outside for an intruder or visitor to hear.

Troubleshootings:

1. Getting false alarm---Please try to set your sensor above the ground around 4.5-6ft high and 0-30 ft from your driveway, try to set your sensor in lower sensitivity.
2. Sensor going off---Please try to set your sensor above the ground around 4.5-6ft high and try to change the sensitivity, make sure there are no trees and moving branches in front of your sensor, please do not let your sensor's eye face to the sunlight directly. and one more important thing is that do not drop down your sensor on the ground.
3. Sensor stopped working---Please try to charge your sensor and see if the blue light will keep on or keep flashing, we need to confirm the battery is defective or not, if it keeps flashing Please get back to our service support through email in the user manual, we could replace the new one for you.
4. Sometimes work sometimes not---Please try to set your sensor above the ground around 4.5-6ft high and Please angle downward the direction of the sensor (rather than horizontal), that way the detector is looking at a vehicle for a longer period of time.

Question:	Is this device stand alone no need of a hub? does the app work on iphone
Answer:	This will interface with whatever program you use to connect devices, I use “smart life”. From there the divorce is shared with Alexa (which is controlled by my iPhone). In terms of hardware, really you just need a router to get the signal to you. No need for special hub, above anything you already have... obviously if you have smart lights etc, they already connect through something to be turned on by your phone. Hope this helps

Answer:	It's configured with a photo resistor so it doesn't trigger during daylight. In my application I want mine to trigger anytime someone enters the bathroom, so I jumped it out of circuit. If you hold the board with the potentiometers up there is a row of resistors just below them. The one on the right being the photo transistor. The the body is clear, so it can detect light, that makes it easy to spot. It's placement on the opposite side of the board than that of the sensor, kind of makes it worthless.

Answer:	When setting up your sensor, the app will walk you through a different pairing process if you are a pet parent. Although the sensitivity of our sensors has been engineered to rule out as much pet activity as possible, there are other steps you'll need to take. Our first recommendation is to keep sensors away from surfaces your animal frequents (favorite chairs or window ledges) as this will help prevent false alarms. You'll also be advised to mount the sensor with the dome facing upwards (you'll have a visual example in the app) and at a slightly different height than non-pet parents. Question:	Why does it take 5 mins to arm itself and start sensing? Why not immediately
Answer:	Wireless motion detectors in many home security brands (notably Ademco in my experience) save battery by only transmitting once every x amount of minutes. If it detects motion and then you arm it, it won't see anything for 5 minutes because of the battery saving feature. Imagine if the motion detector would transmit every second of movement it sees. It will run the battery down very fast.
Question:	How do you change batteries
Answer:	Slide the front of the sensor upwards (away from the sensor dome) and pull the front cover off. Answer:	You can place the sensor anywhere. We have it mounted to a heavy duty magnet so we can move it wherever we want.
Question:	how far will it detect motion
Answer:	Not sure. I placed it about 40' from the receiver. It only works maybe 1 out of 20 times. I do not recommend his product. It garbage.
Question:	Why when motion is detected does the receiver keeps chiming until i turn it off. i assume it should alert me and then shut off on its own? i.e.; if i wasn’t home and it detected motion it would keep going off indefinitely until i return to shut it off
Answer:	It goes off only once with motion and resets unless it detects motion again in 15 -30 seconds.
Question:	It wasys the detector range is 23ft but what is the width/angle of the beam
Answer:	Mine went off constantly no matter what I did. I made sure the wind was not effecting it. I would not buy again

Question:	Can the four sensors be monitored by two receivers in two different homes. (Homes within 50’ of each other
Answer:	I do not have two receivers, but that should work. Signal is analog not digital. Theoretically you should be able to use as many receivers as you want
Question:	I have a very long, hilly driveway. Will the sensor transmit to the base up a 25 foot hill and 1000 feet from the house
Answer:	I’m not sure about the hills but these are pretty good. I have one in my barn with metal walls using it as an alarm if anyone comes through that door and it works great.
Question:	What happens if a nearby neighbor has the same system? Do they conflict
Answer:	I purchased the 4 sensor kit. My neighbor purchased only the 2 sensor kit. When my #3 & 4 sensor activated his box would sound alarms for # 3 & 4 which he does not have.
Question:	When set to the lowest settings, if the wind blows a flower or bushes around the area they are continually setting off, can this be fixed

Question:	Is it possible to adjust the sensor range
Answer:	Not that I am aware of. Nor the sensitivity.
Question:	Does it stop ringing after you have parked your car in the garage
Answer:	The unit sounds the chime/alarm only as long as it senses motion.., any motion Once motion stops then it will stop sounding the chime. For a car in a garage the issue you will have is that anytime that someone walks by the sensor it will sound the chime again. Park a car in the garage that is full of people and you might want to take a gun to the unit (lol). Forget about doing any work around the sensor as it will also keep, “Sounding off”. Hope that answers your question.
Question:	Can more then 4 sensors be controlled by one receiver
Answer:	I ordered 2 sets of 4 sensors hoping they could use just one receiver. Unfortunately, the transmission signal was different for each set of sensors and I had to use both receivers—one receiver for each set of 4 sensors. It looks like each set of sensors is programmed to different a signal channel. Maybe other people are lucky and receive sets that are all programmed to the same channel. That’s ok though. I can use each set of 4 sensors to cover different zones of my house and have a different alarm sound play on each receiver based on what zone it’s coming from. Overall, I was still pretty happy with the product.
Question:	How could this not be weatherproof? I mean, driveways are usually outside, right
Answer:	I have mine on the outside garage wall underneath the eave, it gets rain and snow blowed on it, don’t have any problems because the sensor is run off of batteries. I had one similar to this one and it lasted almost ten years.

Answer:	Depends on use. Lights and Ceiling fans, 250w is fine. If you have a Electric ceiling heater That requires more watts, then the 600w I would use. Hope this helps.
Question:	Will the motion sensor be set off by a small (toy size - 10 lbs) dog
Answer:	I have mine installed in a small walk-in (6 ft x 5 ft) closet and my 10 lb cat triggers it all the time, kind of annoying when it happens at 1 am. I just close the door to preven this from happening.
Question:	Will this work as... Enter room and I manually turn on the light and then the unit automatically turns off the light after a set time of inactivity? I only want it to turn off the light
Answer:	Follow up question on the previous answer....So if the unit turns off the light, is the actual switch toggled back to the "off" position? So that the next time someone walks in the door, they have to again toggle the switch back to the "on" position?
Question:	I don't get the,"No neutral required." A neutral is always required. What am I missing here
Answer:	I was an electrical engineer for Lutron back in the 1980's. Many dimmers and electronic switches like this one do not require a neutral wire to work. This is not a mechanical switch but an electronic one. It uses a silicon switching device called a triac which turns the light on and off 120 times per second, just like every dimmer ever made. During the brief period 120 times/second when the triac is off, the device draws a small amount of power through the light bulbs it controls, and uses this small amount of power to charge a capacitor, which you can think of as a rechargeable battery. Thus there are many wallbox products, such as most dimmers, that do not require a neutral wire to operate. Nor does it put any power intentionally to ground, which would be against the electrical code and thus could not be sold. The reason other companies require a neutral wire is because they were not designed by companies that also make dimmers as their engineers probably do not realize the device can be designed to draw sufficient power using a triac instead they use a relay, which would produce an audible click when switched on, where as a triac device would make no sounds when turning on and off. Answer:	It comes with the mounting stub as pictured. The mounting stub is the standard size for attaching to an electrical box (there are any number of options as to what size and style). I purchased this unit about a year ago and it has functioned flawlessly.
Question:	Can I use two of these in paralled to work one light? I want to mount them on the corners of a garage and turn on one central light
Answer:	My guess is you will burn them out. i tried this once with a water circulation pump (no light in the circuit) connected to a relay. A friend of mine had 3 of these in 3 different bathrooms in his house. the thought was as soon as someone walked into a bathroom, this device would activate a pump which would circulate hot water from the water tank to the fixtures (and hence the cold water in the line back to the tank for heating). We took precautions. first we made sure the power going to the 'hot' and neutral side of the sensors were from the same breaker (otherwise you could accidentally send 240 volts to the load if the sensors were on different sides of the line coming into your breaker panel). Second, we used a relay (mentioned earlier) as 'the load' because the draw (in amps) of the circulation pump was more than the sensor would allow as a pass though (you have to pay attention to the current these things will allow... watts, amps, miliamps - all need to know stuff! - we could have hooked it up directly, but it would have burned them out in short order, not to mention create a fire hazard). Finally, we ran all three of the load wires back to one junction box, tied them together with a wire nut (to complete the parallel connection you are talking about), and connected the load to the trigger side of the relay. we walked in each room and sure enough, the motion sensor engaged the relay, and the motor kicked on and the water circulated as designed. we thought we were home free. after about 2 months, we noticed one of the sensors was no longer activating the relay (and the pump did not run). we could eliminate the motor as it was completely separated from the electrical path. we discovered one of the motion sensors had burned out. replaced it, and all was well, and then a month later, a motion sensor from ANOTHER bathroom burned out. the relay hardly drew any power, so it couldn't be that. then we separated all of them and had three separate relays to engage the pump - never had another issue with burn-out. so what happened? we think if a person 'tripped' the motion sensor, it sent 110 volts to the load side of the other sensors (which were not activated by motion), and that 'back flow' of power messed up the electronics inside the sensors not in use. only explanation that made sense. so long story short, you could connect them in parallel, but i think they would burn out because of a 'back flow' between the devices. when we separated them with individual relays - no problems. e-circulation pump would have drawn more amps than the sensor allows to pass through we ranf the 'load' side of

Answer:	If your application requires it to work during the day just put electrical tape over the photo sensor and it works 24/7. I used sensor to activate a fountain pump 24/7
