Press and hold the Learning button on the outlet, and then plug in the outlet and wait for the light to stop blinking. Then press and hold the Learning button again until the light flashes again, and press the desired button on your remote (say, remote button #1) to sync the outlet and remote together. Do this same process to your second outlet. Now when you press the #1 button on your remote, both outlets will turn on with a single click!

Answer:	My experience with similar products is: If you buy several, the remotes will work on each. In other words they have the same frequency. I expect these are the same. So, if you buy 100 of these sets, you won't get 300 frequencies. You will get the same 3 frequencies 100 times. I found that worked well for my uses.

However, the control is binary, so if the controlled fixture is in the opposite state from the state desired, pressing the button on either switch will alter the fixture's state.

Answer:	You could use this in conjunction with the Insteon 2475F FanLinc Insteon Dual-Band Ceiling Fan and Light Controller, to controll the light functions. Use your remote to control the fan functions. The switch is of course unnecessary however.

Answer:	The Smarthome page for the 2466DW says nothing about dual-band. Neither the quickstart guide nor the owners manual say anything about dual-band. The owners manual states, in more than one place, that you need to "make sure you have installed at least two Access Points (#2443) or other dual-band INSTEON products". I think it's pretty certain that this product is NOT dual-band.

Three batteries are needed and the laser seems to use up the power very quickly so I would recommend buying extras. Important: Manually turn off the device when you are done, it will save the battery.

Question:	Can I install this item in a bathroom? Instructions say no wet location. Any other models
Answer:	"Wet location" usually refers to being outdoors or above the shower if we're talking about a light fixture. As long as the exhaust fan is on when taking long hot showers, as it should be to prevent mold from building up, and the remote switch is on a wall that is not inside or directly along side the shower, then yes. The other module is buried under the light fixture in the wall or ceiling box.
