Answer:	I don't know, I have no experience with "porta-bote "f boats". The oars I have are in my 14' aluminum boat. I have used them to test them out and am very satisified. They are my back up if the motor quits. I feel they are well made and Ive seen no trouble with the Oar Locks. I would imagine that under extreme use and to someone who would be really rough with them, could create a problem. But I have had none!

Question:	Does the paddle screw off like the Kwik Tek P
Answer:	I do not have the P-1, but it does screw to keep it tight at the middle of the oar. I have unscrewed it due to some water getting in through holes (not a ton)and making some water shaking noise that I wanted to get rid of. Only used the short oar a few times, but worked fine. I was thinking of duct taping the middle screw part to keep it all together. Not that it came unscrewed while paddling, it simply would sometimes not stay screwed in so tightly with banging around and use. If longer I would not tape it up, but it is not the longest paddle ever. Hope this answers your question. Felt like with extremely rugged paddling it might break, but got what I expected and am happy for the cheaper price.

Answer:	Shocked that the full length is not listed, and planned to get my tape measure and measure it, but forgot. I think it is about four feet long. Two feet for the paddle section and then the oar handle can extend from zero to two feet long. I am a big guy, and felt like it was sturdy, but with really strong strokes it seemed like I may have been able to break it. But it seems good and does work.
