Answer:	It should not be a problem. The dimmer switch is totally separate from your lamp. You will plug your lamp into the dimmer plug at your electrical wall plate. Easy to do.

Answer:	The dinner switch will work on a 3 way switch lamp, but it will dim only the light that is switched on at the lamp.... it will not switch to another lamp setting i.e. if your 3way switch lamp has three settings, say 50 100 & 150 watt. If the lamp is set for the 50 watt, the dimmervwiil only dim that .... utcwill not switch to either the 100 ie 150 watt setting. You can switch the lamp (at the lamp switch) to another setting and the dimmer switch will be able to dim it.

Easy 4 step process to install

In most cases the previous touch sensor has permanent wire nuts, cut the wires to remove them and strip back to the raw copper wire (If they are removable wire nuts twist counter clockwise to remove, and the new orange wire nuts will turn clockwise for new wire connections) on both the wires from the plug and the wires from the lamp. (black and white on instructions).

1. Refer to wiring diagram while connecting each wire. If there is an existing touch wire in some cases it is easier to cut and strip the wire from the lamp so you can wire nut to join (Green) touch wire from sensor box. Use your own judgement you can always remove the bolt from lamp base and connect the yellow wire metal circle to the touch surface as intended. (see options 1 and 2 on instructions)

2. Connecting (WHITE) Using a wire nut connect WHITE wire from sensor box to one wire from the lamp and one wire from the plug (3 wire connection 1 lamp, 1 plug, and 1 white).

3. Connecting (RED) Using a wire nut connect RED wire from sensor box to the only remaining wire from lamp.

4. Connecting (BLACK) Using a wire nut connect the BLACK wire from sensor box to the only remaining wire from power plug.

Question:	This does not work on my 2 living room lamps, but works in all other 8 lamps that I have. Any suggestions on why this is doing this
Answer:	For some reason, the dimmer switch will not work on some lights. Some three way led and florence lights. I do have it connected to a three way led and it will work. It flickers when on low dim, medium and high are good. The electrical plug does get warm if left on for a long period of time.

Answer:	It hardly matters where the plug is. The wire lead on the tapper is extremely long and that is the piece you use to turn it on and off. If it works on lights I have to imagine it will work on a fan, but then I did not use it that way and can not verify that the fan motor is able to engage with less current and provide less definitive difference in performance per degree of current.
Question:	The touch pad works and My lamp comes on but goes out
Answer:	For OUR household we found the following - BIGGEST caveat for us with this product: For our floor lamp, we had to ensure we had a dedicated outlet (nothing else plugged in) in order for the touch sensor to work/stay on (otherwise, it would flash on, then immediately turn "off"). #2 caveat - For a regular one-way bulb, "dimmer" capability doesn't function - holding finger on the center the first time powers our lamp on, then touch sensor works for off/on. Holding finger on has no dimmer effect, it just powers it off (when lamp is on), or on. Good luck!!
Question:	will this turn light on and off as well as dimming
Answer:	Yes it will! One quick tap and the lights can go on or off. Then, with you holding your finger on the round tap pad, it will dim and brighten to your desired likeness. I will say, there is a slight "hum" that you hear with the Phillips HUE bulbs that are dim-able and that are LED. I am not sure why. It's not very noticeable but there is one. But, yes they will go off and on with you tapping that round pad. I conveniently installed this to my bed side lamps and then added the touch pad on the top oh my headboard. I can turn the light on and off quickly and its nicely hidden on my mocha colored wooden headboard.

Contrary to a previous comment in this thread: ALL halogens ARE suitable for dimming, because ALL halogen bulbs ARE incandescent bulbs--enclosed in a sealed capsule, which surrounds the incandescent filament with a halogen gas atmosphere. Answer:	No... but if it helps all the problems I had with this set of cabinet lights were caused by either a fuse in the power supply or a triac in the power supply blowing. If it appears your touch sensor isn't working (lights stuck on or off) it is likely the fuse or triac, not the touch sensor itself. Unfortunately if that doesn't solve the problem, its probably the triac. This guy's reviews on home depot helped me solve the triac problem. Answer:	Yes it turns it on low medium high and off... But remember it works only on incandescent bulbs and not fluroscent or led
Question:	What is the difference between the 2 models sold on Amazon? One model number ends in BC and the other ends in CS. They look identical
Answer:	Looks like the CS is for low voltage lights, at least according to the description. BC is for 120V (plug-in-the wall-type) current.
Question:	How long is the wire to the touch pad? I want to know how far from the outlet the lamp and the touch sensor CAN be
Answer:	The wire between the touch pad and the control module is 8 ft. long. It is connected to the control module through a 1/4" male spade connector (like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/400820940497?item=400820940497&vectorid=229466). I suppose you could extend it a couple of feet if needed, but there is likely a length limit.
Question:	How do you hook it up to the lamp
Answer:	The lamp must have a cord that normally plugs into a 110 volt receptacle. You plug the Westek dimmer into a receptacle then plug the lamp cord into the dimmer's receptacle. Touch the round corded disc to turn on the lamp, touch again and the lamp will dim. Do not use flourescent or LED lamps. Bulb must be the old fashond incondescent type.

Answer:	It's standard size so it probably would fit assuming the screws for the plate are in the middle. As a recall the plate that comes with it snaps on.
