Answer:	I just added this to my Wink Hub 2 by going through the process of adding a Lutron Caseta "Dimmer". Works fine!

Question:	Why is the simple switch more expensive than the seemingly more complex dimmer
Answer:	This is for applications with heavier load requirements (bathroom fans for example). The switch is rated for more amps than the dimmer. A dimmer isn’t always suitable either, like with exterior lights or in a garage.

Answer:	Depends on use. Lights and Ceiling fans, 250w is fine. If you have a Electric ceiling heater That requires more watts, then the 600w I would use. Hope this helps.
Question:	Will the motion sensor be set off by a small (toy size - 10 lbs) dog
Answer:	I have mine installed in a small walk-in (6 ft x 5 ft) closet and my 10 lb cat triggers it all the time, kind of annoying when it happens at 1 am. I just close the door to preven this from happening.
Question:	Will this work as... Enter room and I manually turn on the light and then the unit automatically turns off the light after a set time of inactivity? I only want it to turn off the light
Answer:	Follow up question on the previous answer....So if the unit turns off the light, is the actual switch toggled back to the "off" position? So that the next time someone walks in the door, they have to again toggle the switch back to the "on" position?
Question:	I don't get the,"No neutral required." A neutral is always required. What am I missing here
Answer:	I was an electrical engineer for Lutron back in the 1980's. Many dimmers and electronic switches like this one do not require a neutral wire to work. This is not a mechanical switch but an electronic one. It uses a silicon switching device called a triac which turns the light on and off 120 times per second, just like every dimmer ever made. During the brief period 120 times/second when the triac is off, the device draws a small amount of power through the light bulbs it controls, and uses this small amount of power to charge a capacitor, which you can think of as a rechargeable battery. Thus there are many wallbox products, such as most dimmers, that do not require a neutral wire to operate. Nor does it put any power intentionally to ground, which would be against the electrical code and thus could not be sold. The reason other companies require a neutral wire is because they were not designed by companies that also make dimmers as their engineers probably do not realize the device can be designed to draw sufficient power using a triac instead they use a relay, which would produce an audible click when switched on, where as a triac device would make no sounds when turning on and off. Answer:	It comes with the mounting stub as pictured. The mounting stub is the standard size for attaching to an electrical box (there are any number of options as to what size and style). I purchased this unit about a year ago and it has functioned flawlessly.
Question:	Can I use two of these in paralled to work one light? I want to mount them on the corners of a garage and turn on one central light
Answer:	My guess is you will burn them out. i tried this once with a water circulation pump (no light in the circuit) connected to a relay. A friend of mine had 3 of these in 3 different bathrooms in his house. the thought was as soon as someone walked into a bathroom, this device would activate a pump which would circulate hot water from the water tank to the fixtures (and hence the cold water in the line back to the tank for heating). We took precautions. first we made sure the power going to the 'hot' and neutral side of the sensors were from the same breaker (otherwise you could accidentally send 240 volts to the load if the sensors were on different sides of the line coming into your breaker panel). Second, we used a relay (mentioned earlier) as 'the load' because the draw (in amps) of the circulation pump was more than the sensor would allow as a pass though (you have to pay attention to the current these things will allow... watts, amps, miliamps - all need to know stuff! - we could have hooked it up directly, but it would have burned them out in short order, not to mention create a fire hazard). Finally, we ran all three of the load wires back to one junction box, tied them together with a wire nut (to complete the parallel connection you are talking about), and connected the load to the trigger side of the relay. we walked in each room and sure enough, the motion sensor engaged the relay, and the motor kicked on and the water circulated as designed. we thought we were home free. after about 2 months, we noticed one of the sensors was no longer activating the relay (and the pump did not run). we could eliminate the motor as it was completely separated from the electrical path. we discovered one of the motion sensors had burned out. replaced it, and all was well, and then a month later, a motion sensor from ANOTHER bathroom burned out. the relay hardly drew any power, so it couldn't be that. then we separated all of them and had three separate relays to engage the pump - never had another issue with burn-out. so what happened? we think if a person 'tripped' the motion sensor, it sent 110 volts to the load side of the other sensors (which were not activated by motion), and that 'back flow' of power messed up the electronics inside the sensors not in use. only explanation that made sense. so long story short, you could connect them in parallel, but i think they would burn out because of a 'back flow' between the devices. when we separated them with individual relays - no problems. e-circulation pump would have drawn more amps than the sensor allows to pass through we ranf the 'load' side of

Answer:	I'm using this with two 12.5W Soraa High-CRI "Vivid" series LED PAR30 4000K bulbs (total controlled load: 25W) and it is the finest dimmer switch I've ever used. With the "Advanced mode" custom programming (Technical document: www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/048459.pdf) to adjust the "low trim" (dimmest point) I can get these bulbs to be on and stable at only
Question:	Can this handle dimming LED lights all the way down so they are actually dim, like the incandescents? Yes, I have an LED light bulb that is dimmable
Answer:	I have the Wafer 6 in. White Integrated LED Recessed Kit that Home Depot sells. They say they can go down to 10%.. I had another switch in previously that the lights wouldn't dim down as far and would turn off randomly when dimmed down all the way. If you use the adjustment feature in this switch it seems like they go down to that no problem. I've been running them for a day and no flickering or turning off. If anything changes I'll leave an updated comment or update this answer. Two factors you'll need to look at: 1) what is the LED bulb rated to go down to 2) Is this dimmer compatible? If your LED bulb says it can do it try many different dimmers until one works :)
Question:	The max brightness seems lower than when I had a non-digital dimmer. How do I adjust? I see instructions for the lower dim range but not the max

Answer:	It's standard size so it probably would fit assuming the screws for the plate are in the middle. As a recall the plate that comes with it snaps on.

Question:	I live in an old house, My switches only have 1wire, the hot. No ground and no neutral in my wall switch boxes. Will this work for me
Answer:	You could use this in conjunction with the Insteon 2475F FanLinc Insteon Dual-Band Ceiling Fan and Light Controller, to controll the light functions. Use your remote to control the fan functions. The switch is of course unnecessary however.
Question:	Can you program 2 remotes to work with one switch? I want one wall mounted and one hand held
Answer:	This item needs to work with an Insteon hub, there is a hub that works with HomeKit. But this is a combination I have not tried.
Question:	Does anyone know if this dimmer works on a three way switch
Answer:	The Smarthome page for the 2466DW says nothing about dual-band. Neither the quickstart guide nor the owners manual say anything about dual-band. The owners manual states, in more than one place, that you need to "make sure you have installed at least two Access Points (#2443) or other dual-band INSTEON products". I think it's pretty certain that this product is NOT dual-band.
Question:	I purchased the Lutron P-PKG1W-WH and my new LED bulbs are flickering when being dimmed. They are dimmable bulbs and I have tried 2 different brands
Answer:	Yes. I have the 2466DW installed in my kitchen in a 3-gang switch box in the center between two other standard Lutron toggle switches. I needed the Insteon as it was the only toggle style dimmer switch compatible with controlling the low-voltage(twicebright CL1220TL) mini-recessed lights that use dimmable LED bulbs above my sink. Answer:	It works great with my Echo and integrates easily. These dimmers do not require a neutral wire, they only have two black wires and one green ground wire. The other lutron switches (the ones that don't dim but are on/off) require a neutral wire. I have used both types in my house because they are for different lights.
Question:	Confused about non-pro vs. pro version: will this operate with ifttt and logitech harmony. the description indicates yes, but lutron site says not
Answer:	Both versions (pro and regular) work with IFTTT and Logitech Harmony. In fact, most integration options work with both pro and regular versions of the Smart Bridge, including Sonos speakers, Nest thermostats, Apple Watch, Google Assistant, Hunter ceiling fans, and many others. The list of integration options that are only supported with the pro version or the Smart Bridge are currently listed on the bottom of the Lutron Caseta Pro page (https://www.casetawireless.com/Pages/ProProducts.aspx).
Question:	Are the dimmers in this starter kit single pole or can I use them to replace two dimmers in my home that control the same lights
Answer:	Right, so it's a "mock 3-pole system" by way of the remote. The switch itself is single...but there is a remote that pairs with it and can be mounted in a light switch (2nd location) by removing the old switch and capping off the wires. Then, use the Pico Wallplate Bracket to mount the remote in the 2nd location.

Answer:	Typically if a fan manufacturer its own control technology, it would be incompatible with third party fan controls. Lutron would suggest reaching out to your fan manufacturer to verify compatibility with this control.
Question:	Which ceiling fans work with this wall switch
Answer:	The MACL-LFQ is not specific to any models of ceiling fans. This control is designed to control most 3-speed ceiling fans (up to 1.5A) and dim up to 75W of dimmable LED/CFL or 250W of incandescent/halogen lighting. This control would only be compatible with fans which utilize pull chains to vary the speeds. If a fan includes its own remote control or wall control, it may not be compatible. As always, Lutron would suggest verifying compatibility with your fan manufacturer as well.
Question:	I was told you can't control a fan with a dimmer, what makes this switch different then any other dimmer switch? Why is there not a Caseta model
Answer:	Correct, a dimmer could only control a lighting load. The top portion of this dimmer is designed to control up to 75W of LED/CFL or 250W incandescent/halogen. However, the bottom portion of this control is a fan speed controller. Fan speed controllers use a different technology than a dimmer to control the fan speeds of a 3-speed ceiling paddle fan.
