Answer:	Lutron does not recommend two AYCL-153P-WH dimmers in 3-way application. The second location would need to be a standard 3-way mechanical switch.
Question:	Can you fit three of these switches side by side in a standard 3 gang box
Answer:	The switch generates heat so it has tabs on both sides to prevent you from mounting them side by side without being aware that you have to "derate" them if you want to install them side be side. In other words, you can put 600 watts of incandescent bulbs on one dimmer if you mount it alone but only 500 watts of incandescent on a dimmer with one side tab removed (you remove only the tab(s) that overlap) and only 400 watts load with both tabs removed (as you would do mounting 3 switches in a standard 3 gang box). They also include a chart for derating when you mix CFL/LED bulbs with incandescent.

Answer:	I was wondering this exact same question, so I called Lutron and learned that they're the exact same switch. The model numbers differ because they're marketed/sold differently (e.g. Home Depot vs. other stores). So, if you find one cheaper than another, as I've done here on Amazon, buy the less expensive one!

Manual Control

At the low end of the dimming level when the light starts to flicker, fine tune the dimming performance by turning the adjustment dial counter-clockwise so that the light output is stable. Set your slider to where there's no hum or flickering on light fixtures.

Screw-free wall plate

Install the dimmer and mounting frame with the tabs facing down. Put on the screw-free wall plate after tuning the adjustment dial.

Trouble shooting

1: Light flash in the whole dimming range

a. Check the lighting/lamp is dimmable or not

b. The lighting fixture is not compatible with our dimmer

c. Most dimmable LEDs and CFLs will not acheive as low level as incandescent or halogen sources.

d. Control a group of lighting fixtures/lamps with one dimmer may cause flicker due to variation of dimming circuit and dimming range. Please use dimmer to

control lights/lamps in the same type or same model.

2. Light flash in low dimming range

a.Slightly turn the adjustment dial counter- clockwise to achieve full compatibility with the lights

3. Get dimmer list from light bulb/lighting fixture's supplier to avoid compatible issue with our dimmer, a broad dimmer list means less dimming issue, such as flicker,buzz, or flash issue, also, better buy FCC compliance lighting product for stable performance.

Answer:	The dimmer is a 0-10v dimmer. If that's what those fixtures use it should work. If they are standard fixtures without a dimmer control input (that's different than "dimmable LED") then no.
Question:	The product description lists the color as white, but the picture appears to be ivory. Which color can I expect if I order this product
Answer:	This unit takes 14-2-2 wG wire from the switch to the fixture. From what I learned, it is two separate switches, a power switch (the rocker), and a variable voltage switch on the slide. You supply the household voltage as you would a straight switch to the power switch. The variable switch wires run from the switch to the corresponding connections in the fixture, so the variable voltage comes from fixture, which I assume has a diode etc electronics to provide the ability create a variable light. (Outside my comfort zone on household wiring.) I did not need to supply the 0-10 voltage as a separate power supply. The biggest problem is getting 14-2-2wG wire run as most existing household lighting circuits are 14-2wG (or often 14-3wG if two way switches are involved). I needed this switch for some unique LED 2x4 suspended ceiling drop in lighting panels. Because of the wiring difficulties in existing walls, I probably would not do these panels again. Very neat fixtures, but hard work to wire.

Answer:	This is technically not a dimmer. It’s a switch with a dimmer controller for dimmers that work 0 to 10 V. Whatever you connected to, such as a dimmable LED driver, will actually do the Deming. It will be rated in watts. So this isn’t rated in watts. It controls 0-10V systems. Negligible watts. Just enough to control an outside device. If your ballast or whatever is not rated for 0-10V control, don’t buy this.

Question:	How do I wire this with no ground
Answer:	Note 4 of the installation instructions states: When no "grounding means" exist in wallbox, the 2011 NEC allows a control to be installed as a replacement if 1) a nonmetallic ,noncombustible faceplate is used with nonmetallic attachment screws or 2) the circuit is protected by a GFCI. When installing a control according to these methods, cap or remove green wire before screwing control into wallbox.

Answer:	On 3-way circuits, only one ELECTRO-MECHANICAL switch can be a dimmer regardless of lamp type, other switch must be standard single-pole 3-way on/off. You CAN use DIGITAL ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM (ie: MAESTRO) for all switches on circuit. Skylark SCL-153P dimmer is "electronic" but it is not a CONTROL SYSTEM that encompasses the whole circuit.
Question:	Can this dim incandescent and LED bulbs on the same circuit
Answer:	Yes- the issue is that the bulbs are very different and as a result will not dim uniformly so when dimmed one may be brighter

Answer:	What I think was being asked is if this meter can tell you the PEAK load during the time it was connected. For example, let's say it was connected to a refrigerator for 10 hours. Let's say that during that 10 hours the load in Watts was 150Watts. But, when the compressor kicks in, it surges to 2000Watts for 3 seconds. Will this device allow you to see that 2000Watt PEAK later? Does it store that PEAK load into memory so you can view it?

SINGLE POLE/3-WAY CIRCUIT INSTALLATION

• Single Pole: Connect the green dimmer ground wire to ground wire in the wall-box, Connect the black dimmer wire to the hot input wire removed from the switch,Connect either of the 2 red dimmer wires to the light fixture wire removed from the switch,Use wire nut to cap the remaining red wire on dimmer

Manual Control

At the low end of the dimming level when the light starts to flicker, fine tune the dimming performance by turning the adjustment dial counter-clockwise so that the light output is stable. Set your slider to where there's no hum or flickering on light fixtures.

Screw-free wall plate

Install the dimmer and mounting frame with the tabs facing down. Put on the screw-free wall plate after tuning the adjustment dial.

Compatible with CFL/LED

Cloudy Bay dimmer improves the compatibility of dimmable CFLs and LEDs compared to standard dimmers by eliminating flicker, making sure lights operate properly at all levels.

Trouble shooting

1: Light flash in the whole dimming range

a. Check the lighting/lamp is dimmable or not

b. The lighting fixture is not compatible with our dimmer

c. Most dimmable LEDs and CFLs will not acheive as low level as incandescent or halogen sources.

d. Control a group of lighting fixtures/lamps with one dimmer may cause flicker due to variation of dimming circuit and dimming range. Please use dimmer to

control lights/lamps in the same type or same model.

2. Light flash in low dimming range

a.Slightly turn the adjustment dial counter- clockwise to achieve full compatibility with the lights

3. Get dimmer list from light bulb/lighting fixture's supplier to avoid compatible issue with our dimmer, a broad dimmer list means less dimming issue, such as flicker,buzz, or flash issue, also, better buy FCC compliance lighting product for stable performance.

Troubleshooting

Symptom:

- Bulbs turn off while being dimmed.

- Bulbs turn on at high light level but do not turn on at a low light level, or take too long to turn on at low end.

- Bulbs flicker or flash when dimmed do a low light level.

- Bulbs or dimmers are buzzing.

Solution:

1. Verify all bulbs are marked dimmable.

2. Remove wallplate and locate sensitivity dial.

3. Turn up (counter-clockwise) sensitivity dial slowly until symptom is no longer present.
