Question:	Can I add a downrod to this pendant
Answer:	In my non-expert opinion... possibly, but not very easily. It does come with a ample length of power cable which hangs the lamp from the ceiling mounting "base". You pull the cable through to the length you need and then tighten a plastic screw in the base to hold it in place at that length. Adding a precise length of downrod (threaded at both ends) would require feeding the cable through the rod and then nut it in-place on both ends --possible drilling out the openings on one or both ends to accommodate that rod. Seems like a lot of custom work to what end?
Question:	From what I can tell from the picture it looks like the hanging rod or wire is flexible and not actually a stiff rod. Is this correct
Answer:	Correct. There is no stiff rod. The fixture is held by a flexible wire which runs up through the plate mounted on the ceiling. There is a bracket under the base that supports the weight of the light. They are beautiful by the way.

Answer:	There would be a seem. If it is used to diffuse incoming light then shouldn't be an issue, but if used as a backdrop would require post processing to remove seem.
