Answer:	Beleive they have door which opens to the outside. Florida homes have these for hurricanes. Hinge is inside but door swings out yet hinge pin is inside.
Question:	Does this act as zwave extender
Answer:	Only "Lines Powered" devices (plugged in or installed permanently to your homes electricity) will work as Z-Wave Repeaters or extenders. It is a Z-Wave requirement that all "Lines Powered" devices must repeat the Z-Wave network. Battery operated devices like this GE 32563 cannot repeat the network because their battery life would be used up in a matter of hours constantly listening for Z-Wave traffic to relay.
Question:	Does this require the door to be completely closed to register as closed
Answer:	Not really. The long arm you see in the pic rests against the door and is "calibrated" by pulling it off and putting it back down in a different position. There's a set of splines which give probably about a 10 degree precision. On our door the splines don't allow for it to be that accurate and the door can be unlatched and still register as closed. I imagine you could shim up the end of the arm to get it as precise as you wanted, but I'm not sure about the tolerances of the internal switch mechanism (i.e. if you got it so it was very precise when it was closed, would it then go back to closed once opened, or would it have to go past the previous position to trigger the switch).

Answer:	No, this is a sensor to let you know when your door has been opened. It's for monitoring in case of a break-in while you are away. It sends you a text saying your door has been opened.

Step 3

Answer:	Its a line-voltage thermostat. Typically it would take the place of a wall switch to control a switched plug. If you are looking for something to replace a 24 VAC furnace thermostat, this is not it.

Answer:	It can be used as a single pole. My old thermostat had only 2 wires. Used the 2 black wires and not use the red. Works fine. I am not sure if it will turn off completely in this wiring sequence, but I never need to shut off.

Answer:	I use it for gas heating. You should be good to go for your gas fireplace.

Answer:	Yes, you can set it from many degrees and it will keep the heat at that degree. I set mine at 72 and it keeps the house at 72 degrees always. It works great. I would recommend it for a friend.
Question:	To the seller. i want a replacement for the 75 watt bulbs. these say 72 watt (fine) but 100 watt replacement. please explain? thank you
Answer:	These can be calibrated. I have six of these to control 240V baseboard heaters. First, set them to the temperature that you want the room to be and let the temperature of the room stabilize for several hours. Note where on the dial where the pointer should be. Remove the cover, and then carefully remove the knob without disturbing its position. It snaps off. Then, place the knob back on so it points to the temperature of the room and push it so it snaps on. Replace the cover. If the control was turned when pushing the knob back on, remove it again and correct its position. I have done this with all six of my thermostats and they are all accurate now.
