Answer:	TIP: this is a cutter, not a shovel & should not be used for shoveling or lifting out grass/sod like you would with a shovel. For best results, place the blade next to the sidewalk to be trimmed, with shaft straight up vertically against the edge of the sidewalk, then stomp straight down on the edger shearing off any overhanging grass or sod. Repeat this cutting process along the sidewalk until finished. Then with a regular shovel easily scoop up the trimmed grass/sod & dispose.

Answer:	Important. When you start the edger, make sure the blade is down in the grass, next to the sidewalk. There is a little black plastic piece that sticks up, indicating this is the line where the blade will cut. Once the blade is against the walk and in the grass, this marker can be used as a guide, and if you get too close to the cement, you will hear the blade grinding and know you are right against it. I was very hesitant at first, but in the first few minutes became a pro. Once the blade is in the grass, against the side of the sidewalk, keep it down and going. The only way it would come up on the sidewalk would be if you pushed down on the handle, lifting it out of the edging trench. Once you start it and get it going in the grass along the edge, you will feel and better understanding of what I am saying. Just don't run it unless it's lined up along the edge of the grass and sidewalk. You'll learn very quickly. Any additional questions I might answer for you, I would be most happy to, as I am really sold on this extremely useful little gadget, and will help you in any way I can.

Answer:	The edger has 3 depth settings - the deeper you go the more difficult it is to make a tight curve. I usually have mine set at the deepest setting (1.5" I think) and make it around an 8" radius ok - that's on an inside cut, outside cut is easier.

Answer:	At first I thought it came without a blade, but then I found the blade tucked between the inner packing material and the outer box. It’s flat, thin, and not all that heavy so I couldn’t tell it was there. I may have looked through the box 3 times before I found it.

Answer:	it is pretty easy ..there is a spot on there fill to anchor the string then you just wrap it very carefully ,,make sure that you keep it straight.. there are YOU TUBE videos on it...
Question:	Do you have to stop every 5 minutes and re-adjust the line feed on this model
Answer:	yes - my LST136 will not autofeed with the newer slightly different version of AF100 spools that lack the chamfered spindle hole, old 18v model still autofeeds a champ with same spools
Question:	Does this one come with the high speed charger? or the regular one? how long does it take to charge
Answer:	Regular charger I believe. For me it seems to take about three hours to recharge. I have two because I also bought a hedge trimmer. They seem to last about 25 minutes each, which is more than I can last.
Question:	What's the difference between this 140c model and the current lst136 model? autofeed
Answer:	There is actually not much difference between the two. By the way, the LST136 is a discontinued model, while the LST140C is a current model...I think it just came out this year.They both have the same autofeed, and use the same spool, and of course, the same size line. The LST136 will pull 40v at max power, and 36v at normal/lower power...I noticed that someone has claimed that the LST140C is just on/off, but pages six and twelve of the manual says it's a variable speed control. I experimented a little, and it appears that the trigger's range of motion between off and full power is very, very short, as opposed to the LST136 (I really hate the bastard who stole mine--I'd either have to spend a lot more, or travel to another city to get another). I just now checked the B&D website to see what they say, and the LST136 is supposed to spin at 6500-8500 rpm, while the LST140C is supposed to be just 6500 rpm. Either their manual is wrong, or their website...take your pick.The LST136 uses the LBXR36 battery pack, and the LST140C uses the LBX1540...but aside from minor style differences (including rubber on the bottom of the LBXR36), and the LBX1540 having a three level charge indicator vs. the four that the LBXR36 has, they are identical, including charge/use time. They are interchangable, which is the very first thing I tried out, once I'd put my 140C together. By the way, that battery has been off the charger for about a year, give or take a few months, and it appears to still have a full charge on it...awesome!My LST136 came with the fast charger, and the LST140C I just bought came with a slow charger, which is likely part of why the LST140C is cheaper. The fast charger is a lot bigger...the battery fits into it, while the slow charger is a little thing that clips onto the terminals.On the LST140C, the plastic runs around a foot further down the shaft, with the handle snapping onto a pair of spring-loaded buttons, one of which has indentations which lock the position of the handle...a great improvement over the handle design of the LST136. The handle on the LST136, if I recall correctly, can be moved up and down the shaft, and can easily be accidentally turned out of line with the control switch, which isn't all that helpful. Also, the LST140C's length adjustment is mounted on the lower end of the plastic, as opposed to being somewhere between the handle and the head.If there is any difference between in the head/guard, it isn't much at all.I wish the LST140C's switch had a bit more play, but I suspect it won't really matter overall.
