In tight places, it's hard to replace the old "T-braces" to hold up the sheet rock (made of braced 2'x4's - looks like a small version of the old telephone poles). That's usually a two-person job.

Answer:	Approx 1-1/2". It is much better designed & used to raise doors in order to start the screws in the top hinge. It's invaluable when there's only one of you for the task. For drywall, you're much better off putting a couple of 1x3's under the sheetrock then bending down & getting your hand under then lifting. It might also crush a piece of the wall as it's a bit narrow. For doors, it's king.

Answer:	I don't remember the exact dimensions, but approximately four feet by six feet by one foot... plus six inches by six inches by five feet if you are buying the one with over 11 feet lift capacity. Great lift. I hung fourteen foot ceilings with mine and it worked fabulously.
