There are 2 warnings for battery power, but instructions say to replace batteries yearly even without seeing warning. If changed quickly, you don't lose anything, but they say you don't lose programming-only date and time if slow like me!

Question:	Will it withstand being out in rain and sun
Answer:	It is made of excellent quality materials, and would seem to be able to withstand some weathering. However, I wouldn't leave it exposed indefinitely. As there are mechanical parts that will oxidize (rust) within the equipment. I would use a standard, or folding ladder for that purpose.

Answer:	I really like this ladder. But would I carry a bags of shingles up onto my roof all day on it? No. I don't have that kind of confidence in it. btw... I am 6 foot 220lbs. I have a closet with a 12 foot ceiling. There is a second level of hanging rods and shelves at 10 feet where I store winter clothes etc. and a traditional ladder's footprint takes up to much room and does not store in my closet well. So this collapsible ladder is perfect for my application. The 'steps' are narrow so you must use shoes with sturdy soles when climbing or your arches will hurt very soon.
