Answer:	Yes it automatically switches from heat to a/c if programmed to do so

Answer:	Yes it does. It has four modes: Auto, Cool, Heat, Em Heat.
Question:	Can i safely extend the top couple of rungs and then 3 or 4 of the bottom rungs? or do i have to extend either all top or all bottom? thanks
Answer:	AA batteries are required to operate the thermostat. The 'C' wire can be connected but the thermostat will not function without the batteries.
Question:	How much noise does the ladder make when climbing it? And extending and restracting as well
Answer:	The AA batteries are required. The thermostat cannot use a 'C' wire for power. There are 2 warnings for battery power, but instructions say to replace batteries yearly even without seeing warning. If changed quickly, you don't lose anything, but they say you don't lose programming-only date and time if slow like me!

Answer:	That would be Amazon issue contact them they should be able to help you with that!!
Question:	Is the FS1404HD 375 lb model made in USA
Answer:	No, it's not made in the USA. It is made in Mexico. However, it is very sturdy. My only complaint is that there are only two usable steps which is only about 18" off the ground. If you need something higher, then you need to get the next sized ladder.
Question:	Does this ladder have steps on both sides
Answer:	no. On my ladder, the back side braces are vertical pieces of aluminum. Strong but you could not stand on them. It was not designed to go up both sides.

Question:	how high can you reach folding it once with no wall support
Answer:	The packs are approx 4in X 6in. I have not used them as a hot pack but as a cold pack if I am using it in an A/C room about an hour, in the heat or traveling it lasted about 30 to 40 minutes. The wrap came with 2 packs and I purchased 2 additional so that I could alternate and never run out.
Question:	How much does ladder weigh
Answer:	I can but it takes effort or a mirror so you can see the strap behind you. I have fairly limited range of motion of my shoulders due to rotator cuff problems so while it is doable alone, sometimes my wife will help me which is easier. HAving said that, I always put it on myself after a bike ride, so it is possible just takes a little patience.
Question:	Can new stabilizer feet be purchased
Answer:	Due to the strap lengths I can easily put it on my right shoulder with ease but have a hard time putting on my left. Either way I can put it on by myself.
Question:	Can I use this to hang up Christmas lights on my roof
Answer:	Probably the Level 1 - this one's more for the heat/cold aspect. also, see Jim Johnson's rotator cuff book - the best support for the shoulder joint are strong rotator cuff muscles. Good luck!

Answer:	About 25" width step side. The extended width is about 64"

Answer:	Its heavy, given the extendable nature. And the top portion will fall out of the rack if you try to extend too far. But it is very sturdy and does the job. My only complaint is the steps are narrow when extended so you may feel a little unstable if that kind of thing bothers you.

Question:	If I want the equivalent of a a 10 foot step ladder, what size do I need? When folded in half, is the 17 foot 8.5 feet tall
Answer:	Hi thanks for your question, you can adjust the ladder to be a 10 foot ladder by using the part of extension. As for 17 foot it means that when it has been total extended it's 17 foot. When folded in half(no extension) it's around 5 foot, if with extension it's 8.5 foot.
