Answer:	It’s the bottom ledge on your window, when the window is closed it makes a seal around the bottom of the window and keeps rain and snow out..The should be a track that the window rides in, open the window and adjust the bar so it fits snug in the window track then adjust the legs so their rubber coated legs are touching the outside of the house, leaving a slight slope towards the outside of the house. After you set the ac on the support bracket close the window. There should be a bar attached to the top of your window unit, this bar rest against the window when the window is closed.
