Answer:	Mine caught on fire with a little 1500 watt space heater, and to compare, my hair dryer is 1875 watts (not plugged into a smart plug of course), so it doesn't take much for these to catch on fire. Be careful if you use anything in it larger than maybe a desk lamp in my opinion. I unplugged all 3 of my kasa smart plugs and won't use them anymore.

Answer:	Two parts to this answer... First, yes it retains it's settings if the power is off or it's unplugged. Second, I powered on my lamp then unplugged the unit from the wall. Upon plugging it back in after a couple seconds it turned itself back on (the last state it was in) and within a few more seconds re-connected to my wifi network.Hope this answers peoples questions about power outages and operation...

Question:	does the Hub work over Wifi, or must it be connected via Ethernet only
Answer:	The hub is wired by ethernet into your router but all the other devices work fine with house wifi, but you have to be on the same router and not using an extender for some of them. Very impressed with the simplicity of setup and ease of operation, especially over the iPhone when away from the house.
Question:	Does it only work in US and Canada? What happens if it is set in other country? Is it possible to bypass the automated phone call
Answer:	I had it in Trinidad & Tobago, and it worked great. If it works in a country like Trinidad & Tobago, it means that it can work in about every country where the internet is decently working... Only issue: you won't get a phone call when the alarm is triggered, just an email.
Question:	How long does it take for the alarm to sound once the system is armed and a door is opened or motion is detected? Also, what happens if the internet goes down or the power goes out? Will the system alarm or do nothing
Answer:	If you have a UPS on your iSmartAlarm and your router, most likely you'll be in good shape. You can configure the amount of time between when the alarm will sound and a door is opened or motion is detected.

Answer:	There is only one version of the iSmartAlarm System but it may need a firmware update once you begin to register the system. These firmware updates are done directly through the iSmartAlarm App.
Question:	What happens with Ismartalarm, if a burglar cuts your internet, phone o energy cable?. Many houses have their cables cords disposed externally
Answer:	Without internet the iSmartAlarm will work as a basic alarm system. If a sensor is tripped the siren/sirens will still go off, but no notifications will be sent to one's smart phone. One would need a key FOB to disarm it as well as arm it. The cube one has no internal battery. If power is cut, nothing works. I solved this by purchasing a battery back up system and plugging my modem and cube one into it. If the power fails I still have internet and the full iSmartAlarm system.

Answer:	You could use this in conjunction with the Insteon 2475F FanLinc Insteon Dual-Band Ceiling Fan and Light Controller, to controll the light functions. Use your remote to control the fan functions. The switch is of course unnecessary however.

Answer:	This item needs to work with an Insteon hub, there is a hub that works with HomeKit. But this is a combination I have not tried.
Question:	Does anyone know if this dimmer works on a three way switch
Answer:	The Smarthome page for the 2466DW says nothing about dual-band. Neither the quickstart guide nor the owners manual say anything about dual-band. The owners manual states, in more than one place, that you need to "make sure you have installed at least two Access Points (#2443) or other dual-band INSTEON products". I think it's pretty certain that this product is NOT dual-band.
Question:	I purchased the Lutron P-PKG1W-WH and my new LED bulbs are flickering when being dimmed. They are dimmable bulbs and I have tried 2 different brands
Answer:	Yes. I have the 2466DW installed in my kitchen in a 3-gang switch box in the center between two other standard Lutron toggle switches. I needed the Insteon as it was the only toggle style dimmer switch compatible with controlling the low-voltage(twicebright CL1220TL) mini-recessed lights that use dimmable LED bulbs above my sink. The switch is high quality and easy to program for the desired on level.

Question:	Would a pair of Play1s used for rear speakers in a 5.1 set up be much different from Play3s
Answer:	I use 3's as rear speakers in my very large living room with high vaulted ceiling. But I have two pairs of 1's that I use as stereo speakers in my bedroom and workshop. In most rooms, 1's would work just fine as surround speakers in a 5.1 system. 3's have a little more oomph than 1's, but you probably won't be unhappy with either.
Question:	Has anyone compared a stereo pair of Play:1s with a single Play:5? Which option provides better sound for a large room
Answer:	The Play5 has more fidelity than S1, sound is fuller. However with the pair of S1's you will get better stereo separation since you can place them further apart. The S1 sounds better than the Play3. I own them all, so speaking from first hand experience.
Question:	How does this speaker compares to the Bose Sounlink Mini
Answer:	One point to any first-time Sonos buyers: a very big difference from the Bose Soundlink Mini is that the Sonos does NOT connect to an Echo Dot like the Bose (or any bluetooth speaker) - you only control music. If you are expecting to hear your Flash Briefing or anything else besides music out of the Sonos, you will be very disappointed. Also, for what it's worth, in my opinion, at a reasonable room-filling volume I thought the sound quality was similar.
Question:	I want a bookshelf system for a large living/kitchen/dining room with enough volume for a party of 40-50 guests. Should I get 2 Play:1s or 2 Play:3s
Answer:	If you can swing 2 Play:3s, that would be what to get. The sound is much better. Play:1 sounds great for what it is. But size and quantity matters. And whoever says that 2 Play:3s cannot be paired in stereo is completely wrong. And it depends on what kind of party this is. Is this for quiet ambience? Or is this a fun thumping party? That should help with which speakers to get. Even the Play:3 is kind of dicey for a loud thumping party.

Answer:	Installing new memory is as easy as on any other modern PC. Pop the cover, locate the RAM slots, remove what's there and add new chips. I'm not sure about its max memory; the highest offered from HP with this rig is 16GB. If you really need to go above that, two factors affect this: processor type and OS level. Since this is an x64 machine, the max memory under Win7 Pro should be 192GB. x86 machines have a max of 4GB no matter the OS; Home versions of Win7 have varying limits from 8 to 16. Careful if you're upgrading to 10 that the machine will still handle the max 192GB; I haven't tried that.

Question:	My thermostat is only used for heating the house and only has 2 wires, a red and white. Can i still use this ecobee
Answer:	If you have a really old 2-wire system, one that does NOT have modern solid state controls, then Ecobee won't work right off the shelf, even with their 2-3 wire power conversion module. These heating plants predate the 1980s and use "dry contact" thermostats. You can make it work if you install a 24v isolation relay. Ecobee outlines the procedure on their web site, but it takes some basic electrical wiring knowledge. I'm not sure if you can use the 2-wire conversion module with an isolation relay - it should be possible somehow or other. If you have a third wire running to the thermostat (it's often there) then you should use it to run 24V to the Ecobee, and ignore the conversion module.
Question:	Is there a provision to bypass the 'auto off' motion sensor so that my dogs don't suffer from the heat when I'm out
Answer:	Yes- you can disable the Smart Home/Away feature under the "Sensors" section of the interface, so that the thermostat will follow only the schedule/preset temperatures. In my case, I disabled it because I wanted the opposite functionality (I didn't want the system turning on if I stopped at home for a hour over lunch). Note that the "Follow Me" feature is a separate setting (found in the Sensors section as well) that allows the system to track where you are in the house and attempt to heat/cool that part of the house closer to your desired setpoint.
Question:	Does the main thermostat have a sensor for the first floor? Or is the white sensor needed for that floor? Is the black hub a sensor
Answer:	Main thermostat and white (remote) includes a temperature sensor and a motion sensor. First, you don't have to use the remote sensor. Second, if you use the remote sensor, the main sensor will combine the input of both (main and remote) temperature sensors and based on the amount of time spent in each area using the motion sensor. If motion is detected more near the main and less near the remote (as a %), then the main temperature will weigh heavier than the remote. As well, you do not need to use remotes and can be assigned to work during selected schedules only. It's quite amazing, but I haven't used them on my system yet. I figured I would learn the rest of the system before I introduced them.
Question:	is this a different model than the ecobee3 that is slightly less expensive? Also if wifi is out can you control it fully manually
Answer:	Yes, this is a different model then the ecobee3 lite. The ecobee will still be able to function as a thermostat and talk to the sensors, if your wifi goes out. You can still manually control your heating and cooling at your ecobee without wifi.
