Answer:	The unit has 4 internal tabs that hold it together. I find it easier to separate it using the three tabs on the top of the unit and pushing back on the center tab while holding one of the side tabs. It's a tight fit so it doesn't come apart easily just don't be too brutal with it.

Answer:	This is just a simple thermostat that turns on when the temperature reaches the point at which you set it, and stays on until the temperature drops below that set point.

YOU DO NOT WANT your house fan on if there is a FIRE as it will create a chimney effect and make things exponentially worse so at 183° just before where stuff like wood starts to oxidize and combust (burn), it shuts off so you don't blame (and sue) them because YOU left a romantic candle burning and toasted your bedroom.

Answer:	No, the battery it comes with is the only battery that will only fit in the fan. The fan works great, but I was disappointed that I wouldn't be able change out the battery once it died. Luckily i opened it up before our trip and noticed. Before our trip I bought a rechargeable battery pack to recharge the fan. :D

Answer:	As most have already said, it can run solely on batteries. If there is a C wire available, you can use that instead of the batteries for daily operation. But if you have a C wire then you would be looking at fancier smart thermostats instead of this older tech model.
Question:	Can thermostat be set for both degrees F & C
Answer:	Depends on your definition of 'programmable'. It can be set one of two ways: "On" - fan is always on, "Auto" - fan only runs when heat/cool is on. Those are the only fan settings.
Question:	My old thermostat works with only 2 wires, can i use this thermostat
Answer:	It does not, but here is a work-around: Honeywell *does* have a control that sets the cycles per hour, this is called "Heating Cycle Rate" and is function #0240 on my Honeywell RTH7600D. The default for this is "5" cycles per hour, I set mine to "1". This has minimized annoying and inefficient cycling on my gas furnace. To make sure I knew exactly what was going on, I also turned off "Smart Response Technology", function #0530. I am not certain that the "Heating Cycle Rate" numbers correspond *exactly* to cycles per hour, but I believe that they are at least proportionate. Good luck!

Question:	Is this easy to hook up easy direction to follow
Answer:	It depends which way you are using it. On a steep pitch (or steep stairs) it will accommodate a maximum 15" width board, but on a gentler pitch (or more ordinary stairs) it will take up to a 21" board. You will, however, need two of these - one for each end of the board.
Question:	Does anyone know if the Focuspro 5000 can easily replace the Honeywell CT3500? As noted in the first review below, I need to replace a complicated programmable unit but I do not want to have to rewire
Answer:	They should fit fine on a werner ladder. They're really sturdy, I have never had one slip out once. But for safety precautions when placing on really steep roofs or hills you should reinforce the Pivit by putting a board or something behind it.
Question:	What is the overall dimension width and height? Is it possible to connect R or RC line to C to avoid batteries since it is same 24 Volt
Answer:	I have never used it on concrete tiles. I would use some caution if doing so. The pivot grips very well to rough surfaces but could potentially slip on smooth surfaces like tiles just a like ladder could.
Question:	Does it switch to heating automatically in winter and to cooling automatically in summer
Answer:	I know this is too late to help you, but this wedge works great on stairs. If you want to see it in action, you can go to any of the online video sites and search on Pivit Ladder Tool. You'll find a number of videos that demonstrate its use.

Question:	Can the thermostat set a high temp = turn a/c on, and a low temp = turn heat on
Answer:	It remembers the programmed settings after a power loss. However, the clock will be behind after main power is restored because the last clock time is simply stored, but the clock is not running during the outage.
