Question:	What is the difference between the Aprilaire Model 800 and Model 801 humidifiers
Answer:	The Aprilaire model 800 is a "on/off" type unit. It is either on or off. The model 801 is a modulating humidifier, requiring a special controller, that can modulate between 10% capacity and 100% capacity depending on the requirement. The 801 is usually used in precision 'laboratory' environment.
Question:	Any chance that a steam unit may lead to mold growing in the ducts
Answer:	That really depends on the ducts and the injection point. If you have metal ducts with interior insulation then the chance of mold increases. If your injection point is spraying the steam against one of the duct walls, this can cause it to condense back into a liquid which can also lead to possible mold growth. Just make sure that the unit is only running while the furnace is producing heat and shuts down during the cool down cycle.
Question:	Using pex-a/uponor tubing and the saddle doesn't work (leaks). trying 3/4" to 1/2" line but not sure what adapters/supply lines i should use
Answer:	Why splice a peice of copper in? If you are using PEX, cut in a tee and 1/2" ball valve with 1/2"x1/4" compression connector.
Question:	I have two furnaces. One for downstairs and the other for upstairs. If I buy only one unit, where should it be placed
Answer:	Since the "zones" are separated by a floor, I'd think you would need two units. (but I'm not a pro) If $$$ is an issue in buying two units, then I'd suggest not getting a steam type such as the 800. (And CERTAINLY not the troublesome Honeywell steam unit) I'd go with the Aprilaire 700 (or 600) which is much cheaper and much cheaper to operate. (one for each floor) The Aprilaire steam unit (800) uses over 13 amps of power to boil the water. That's a lot--and depending on where you live, it will run a lot. Also, the 800 requires changing the canister about once a year. (or possibly more) You can find the canisters online for around $60 to $120. The model 700 or 600 uses water panels that are roughly $12 each--and also an estimated year lifespan.

Answer:	There should be 4 tabs on each lower housing (the housing that hold the filters), and there should also be 4 corresponding slots on each top filter housing. The lower housing should have two tabs sticking straight up in the front, and two tabs sticking horizontally out the back. The two tabs in the back are just flat tabs, and they are supposed to just slide into the two slots in the back of the top housing. The two front tabs on the lower housing are shaped such that they will "snap" into the two slots in the front of the top housing. The tabs on the back of the lower housing are used to align the top housing with the lower housing, and to help keep it in place. Check to see if the lower housings on your unit have the tabs in the back, and if the top housings have the slots for them.

Question:	Do I disconnect G from furnace board and plug straight into the model 60 control? Also can I use the transformer already there
Answer:	Yes, you are partially correct. The actions are thus; Remove the thermostat "G" wire from the furnace terminalstrip and wire it to "G" on the Model 60 control.* Wire "Gf" on the Model 60 to "G" on the furnace terminalstrip. Also, you may use the 24v supply on the furnace control board, if it rated for enough amperage. If not, wire in the external transformer.Check your furnace manual.
Question:	If I use the wiring schematics listed on the manual, will that turn on the blower and not the furnace? Or what wiring schematic do I need
Answer:	If you use the schematic listed for "Automatic" operation (i.e. intercept the "G" wire between the thermostat and the furnace, putting the new humidistat in between) then this unit will be able to use the furnace blower without firing the furnace. Tapping into the hot water supply (instead of cold) is recommended if you use this feature. My 700 is installed this way and works very well in this configuration.

Answer:	For any humidifier to work at its best and quickly increase the humidity to desired level, it needs to be on hot air side after your furnace. Hot air captures maximum humidity compared to cold air.

Answer:	Imagine a screen door with a breeze blowing through it.Now take a hose and dribble water along the top of the screen. Surface tension will make the water fan out and coat the screen, however some water will find its way to the ground.Now that breeze coming through the screen door will evaporate some of the water and become more humid. Crud is less likely to build up on the screen because it is being constantly washed by he water that makes it to the bottom.So that's "exactly" how this humidifier works. About the Aprilaire 4655 manual digital control humidistat Aprilaire has been providing top of the line humidifiers and humidistats for over 60 years now. The Aprilaire 4655 manual digital control humidistat is designed to be used with low voltage service to offer control of your humidification equipment, and is made to be used with the Aprilaire humidifier 4655 500. The Aprilaire manual humidistat is designed to be installed on the cold air return duct or on an interior wall in the living area of the home. To determine the relative humidity in the home, slowly turn the knob on the control clockwise and counterclockwise and listen for 2 clicks. The actual relative humidity in the home is between the 2 clicks. It is important to anticipate a drop in outdoor temperature and reduce the humidity setting in order to avoid excess condensation. The excess condensation occurs because the indoor relative humidity is higher than what the home can support for the current outdoor temperature. To adjust the humidity setting, simply rotate the control knob to the desired setting. Provided the HVAC system fan is operating and the humidification level is lower than the new set point, the manual humidistat will activate the humidifier.

Answer:	This one does not have resistance, as it is just a set of contacts. If you have a resistance unit, then it depends on what the humidifier controls need. You would need the specs for your unit.

Question:	does the price 630 includes all the price of accessories
Answer:	Yes everything is included . except 15 amp circuit breaker. 14 ga. Wire. for electric connection . 18 ga. thermostat wire for humidistat (which is included ). If you are mounting the unit farther away than 5' from return duct you will need longer steam hose available through honeywell in 15' piece.
Question:	Does the unit require 220Vac for the most efficiency or does 110Vac provide the best efficiency
Answer:	There is a jumper in the unit that allows for either 110 or 220. It's easy to switch. Certainly the unit delivers more steam with 220, but with 110 the unit is way more efficient than the old TruSteam units. I rum my units on 110 and they work very well.
Question:	What should the normal level of water be in the canister
Answer:	mine the level varies depending where in the on cycle it is
