Answer:	We copied or cloned the hard drive into iTunes on an external drive so we had all content currently on the computer. We replaced the drive with the new SSD, installed a new operating system and restored the drive via iTunes. It worked perfectly from the start. All files were organized as in the original. I’m not sure how you can replace the drive without cloning the old drive for reinstallation on the new one.

Answer:	I have a mid 2013 with a 120GB hard drive. I needed more space so I replaced it and it's like having a brand new machine.Works perfect, and it's easy to replace. Just make sure you backup your old drive first.
