Answer:	I do not really have an answer. I bought this for my M I L. I would suggest trying this inside your bath tub to see if it slips or not . Then I would try it in a pool. If you fall you would have the water to break your fall some. Good luck.

Answer:	It is not very high. Definitely not 8". I can't tell you exactly as I no longer have it. It is very unstable and I do not recommend it at all. I gave it 1 star and would have given it zero stars if that were an option.

Answer:	This step is only about 5" high. If you need the handle for balance, it might work. If your washer is one of the deep tubs, might not be high enough. This is just enough to help my Mom get into bed.

Answer:	It is about 4 inches high. It is half the height of a regular step. Have you considered a recliner chair that lifts to make it easier to get in and out of the chair ? They make chairs in different sizes for different sized people. Check Laz-E-Boy . That's where I got mine, This stool is great for people who can't manage regular steps. I keep one in my van because I have trouble getting in due to the van being higher than a car. You will like it and find many uses for it. Check out the chair though.

Answer:	I googled "weight limit drive medical bath step" and a couple of websites said 450 lbs, whereas others said 300 lbs. I would err on the lighter side and say that if the person you're buying it for is 250 lbs or more, you might just want to be extra careful with it. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I think it should work. it will hook over the rounded rim of your tub, and the bracket is down lower, and it has a nob that tightens it. If your rounded rim at top is too narrow , The width if the top part that rests in the top edge measures 3 1/2 inches. If the top rounded rim of your tub is smaller, Im sure you could wedge a piece of wood or plastic in to make it fit. Question:	Can you use this on a fiberglass tub
Answer:	No guarantees, and it will depend on the shape of the inside and outside of your tub. The unit clamps over the side of the tub, and if both the inside and outside of the tub are pretty much flat and vertical, then this will work - IF the fiberglass is fairly stiff. You will have to be careful that you do not tighten the clamp down so tight that it cracks the tub, but it will have to be tight enough so it will not slip. Also keep in mind that especially with a fiberglass tub, the bathtub bar should only be used to steady yourself, not to put your full weight on to pull yourself up, etc. I have a porcelain on cast iron tub that you could drive a truck over and this unit works great. On fiberglass, I expect this will be OK if used with care, and will be much safer than just trying to grab a slippery, soapy tub edge. It also stands up a foot or so above the edge of the tub, so it is much easier to reach when standing, and I really use it the most to steady myself when getting in and out of the tub.
Question:	Is this usable once you are in the shower or only for getting in & out. Is it possible to tuck liner behind bar without water getting everywhere
Answer:	I tuck the shower liner behind the bar once my Mom is inside the tub. Then I put a small towel on the floor just in case. I have not had any problems with excess water. Its a very sturdy bar. I would order again. You could also cut a slit in your curtain to access the handle.

Answer:	This is a very great step and it can be used outside the shower or any place you need it to be. I have two of them, one for my bath tub and the other one to get into my bed. The bed is too high for me to get into and this step is perfect.

Answer:	I'm a big woman. At one time while using this, I was close to 350. Thank you Weight Watchers, no longer that, but still over 300. This step never bows, curves, or bends with both my feet and full weight on it, after 6 months of daily showers.

Answer:	Yes...it is a very nice non-slip surface. It has been a big help to me getting in and out of the tub, as I am short and my tub is high for me.

Answer:	Absolutely, I have three I stack on top of each other to help my special needs brother get into the car. He is older and he was having a hard time getting his leg up high enough to get into my SUV. This step has a big enough foot print that he is comfortable stepping up onto it and it gives him the heighth he needs to get into the vehicle. I just keep three in my vehicle all the time. They stack neatly so it doesn't take up too much room.

Answer:	As far as being ADA compliant, I am not sure. But....I am 66 years old, visually impaired (legally blind/low vision), and it was important for me personally to find a bath step that could assist me to safely enter and leave the tub when I wanted to shower. I also don't have the best of knees and, again, that was something else I had to consider when shopping for a sturdy bath step. I liked that this one (which is wide and solidly built) did not have legs, and so far, it has stayed firmly in place without sliding. The single step up works well for me, but I believe this model can have other steps added to increase its height. As far as the ADA issue, perhaps you can contact the seller/mfg. In all honesty, I think this step has proven worth its reasonable price, but what your personal need might be would likely depend on what type of disability is involved. Last tip: I would take note of the step's size., which although not heavy is large and wide enough to easily stand on (a plus) when entering and leaving the tub, but which might prove a little big for a very small bathroom. Question:	Can this be used to pull myself up out of the tub when taking a bath? I have trouble getting up out of the tub, so have started taking showers only
Answer:	Depending on the tub type. My tub has the claw feet and I had to use a wood block and rubber grip material (the kind used for rugs to prevent sliding) to enable my tub grip to stay in place . If you have the flat edged tub it should not slide but I would do so cautiously. I would not recommend pulling up on rail unless you know for sure it will not slide. My bathtub rail as described above become dislodged as I pulled up out of tub (fortunately I was able to right myself and I did not fall) so I limit myself in taking baths.

Answer:	My tub side is 4". Looks to me the device would expand another inch or so,

Answer:	I doubt it. The unit has a squarish U-shaped bracket, which slides over the top of the tub wall. The rolled top of the claw-foot tub would allow the bracket to fit securely to the inside of the tub, but would provide no flat surface for the outside of the clamp to secure to. As far as I can tell, since I don't currently have a claw-foot tub.

Question:	Do these have a sandpapery-type non-slip surface, or more rubbery
Answer:	It's rubbery non slip. Not rough like sand paper.
Question:	Do they stick well to a textured shower floor
Answer:	hi. they do stick well but they didn't help me with create an anti-slip floor. I ended up trying several things and in the end, bought one of those rubberized floor pads.
Question:	Has anyone used on tile? Do they stick
Answer:	I put these on about a month ago and they stick very well. Make sure the surface is clean very dry. My husband has balance problems and he feels safe with these.

Answer:	I have had mine down for about 8 months and so far no mold. But if that should ever happened a little bleach water in a spray bottle will do the trick.
