| Answer: | Things got worse when I attempted to program the remote using the same method I had used to program the original. I pushed the purple "learn" button on my opener, held down the button on the new remote, and nothing happened. Frustrated, I unpacked the directions (I know, it's my fault for not reading them first). This new remote has a button, labeled "PROG", on the back underneath the metal clip. You have to press this button and then click the desired button on the front 1-3 times (depending on the color of your learn button) to setup the remote. Once this is done, you press the learn button on the opener and then the desired button on the remote and you're all set. It's pretty easy (if you read the directions). It took about 10 minutes to do the whole thing, although it would have been less than five if I had read the instructions first. |
