Question:	Does it use metal gear
Answer:	Yes air cooled ... there is no issue with this. Typically I grind 60 lbs meat in one setting and have done numerous times at 70 degree ambient temperature

Answer:	I'm not sure about the #8. I have the #12 and I suspect I could grind a Volkswagen with it. I wouldn't be surprised if the #8 could grind COOKED chicken bones, but if you're concerned about it, get the #12. I push semi-frozen venison through this thing and I have yet to even slow it down. You won't make a mistake going bigger but you might by going smaller.
Question:	is this made in china
Answer:	I do remove the skin when grinding chicken. It does have a tendency to get wound around the mechanism so you have to clean it frequently.
Question:	will it grind bone as well as meat
Answer:	Lem approves the use of their #12 Big Bite grinder for chicken bones, and it will not void the warranty. Obviously the 22 and 32 can also do chicken bones. I own a 12 Big Bite and grind chicken bones, and rabbit bones with it. It will also do turkey bones but you must first cleaver chop into smaller pieces. I make my own dog and cat food with my #12 Big Bite.

Question:	Is the motor air cooled
Answer:	I would say yes to both. You can drink this early on an empty stomach, has never made me nauseous. And will help you get through your workout. Not going to be some miracle motivator, but gives you enough energy to make it through. I fill up a 64 ounce water bottle with 4-5 scoops of powder and sip on it all day long. Helps me make it through the day without getting exhausted. Never get jittery or hyped up caffeine rush, probably because it’s natural caffeine from green tea and green coffee extract and nut some synthetic caffeine source. I get a nice steady focus all day. Doesn’t seem to keep me from being able to sleep either. I stop drinking it after around 9pm, and go to bed around midnight. I’d recommend giving it a try.
Question:	For the #8 grinder: I need to grind chicken bones occasionally after they have been pressure cooked for 30 min. with the meat on, then stripped
Answer:	a little bit is good, but it really depends on how twitchy your hands are - do your hands twitch after drinking a lot of coffee? If so don't over do this either, as it could mess up your serve.
Question:	Does all the fat hve to be removed before grinding? How do you then add fat to the meat

Answer:	Yes, I'm a runner and have no problem with it staying on... that being said, I'm not sure how small it would get for a 4 yo, but for the price, it'd be worth a shot.

Answer:	The carriage that allows you to feed an item into the slicer pulls out to about a distance of 10 inches between its handle and the surface of the blade. So you could cut something 10 inches in diameter for a 10 inch slice. You could potentially make a longer slice, but then you would have to feed the item in by hand and need to watch your fingers...
Question:	Are blade & the chopping plate (the round thing with the little holes that the meat comes out of) STAINLESS STEEL also? I'm looking for a 100% unit
Answer:	The 615 is very easy to break down for cleaning. Lol, I have 5 thumbs when it comes to mechanical engineering, and even I have no problems. It's not a complicated piece of equipment. I think it's one of the best designed slicers out there. Especially for the money.

Answer:	By Brandon K on September 15, 2012After maybe grinding up 20 or so pounds of pork, the machine started to make internal noises and ceased to work. After pulling it apart I found cheap plastic gears that were stripped of their teeth. I can't find replacement parts online and I emailed manufacture no response yet. My advise spend some the extra cash and buy a STX, because that is what I will be doing soon. I'm sure if I get another set of gears it will only be a matter of time before they strip too.

Answer:	It is a nice Grinder and we are pleased with our purchase. There is two horns, one 1/2 inch opening and the other has a 3/8 inch opening. There is 3 cutting plates, fine, medium, and coarse.

Answer:	It depends on what you define as large. I have used it to do batches of ground meat that were upwards of 25-30 lbs and the grinder did a wonderful job for me and I can barely keep up with it. I also admit that I am an amateur and only do batches like this a few times a year.
Question:	How easy is to clean? or is a bacteria heaven
Answer:	I noticed a few answers say to use a bleach solution, however, after reading the instructions (which aren't the best) they say NOT to use a bleach solution (containing chlorine) on the ALUMINUM parts because it will discolor them. source: pg 4, under "to clean", number 9, 1st sentence

Install Meat Grinder Correctly

• Install the meat grinder in the correct way helps to make it a long-term use
• All the parts in the head should be installed in order.
• Remember to put the cutting blade after the screw, cutting plates are the next step and the cap installation is the last
• The blade side (also named flat surface) outward when installing the meat grinder. Otherwise, it may keep clogging if wrongly placed the cutting blade.
• Take it apart and double check and re-install it if you find the meat grinder doesn't work properly.

Clean Meat Grinder Correctly

• Use running water to clean all the parts after using it. Running water is enough to sweep away all the remaining meat. Dry it with clothes. Reassemble it for next use.
• Remember that these head parts are made of aluminum and should not be put in the dishwasher. It may cause the coating discoloration due to aluminum oxidation. Only cutting blades and plates are made of stainless steel.

Answer:	My 13 year old son got this to use as a fiddle stick. It’s meant to be used with a tennis ball or smaller ball but he said you can fit a regular sized lacrosse ball in it as well.
