Answer:	Yes it is a good stick for all ages, it is light weight and the shaft gaugue is actually is on the low end. Excellent pickup, ball can stick somewhat in the pocket, good for ball security; this feature also requires a slight shift in the release point.

Answer:	We added tape for gripping my son loves it and used it all season. It does have decent grip without tape. We tape wrap everything though.

The E Shape

The E shape was designed with an ergonomic shape that fits well in the palm of your hand. It features an indentation on each side of the shaft as well as having the topside of the shaft a bit wider than the underneath. This has the effect of seating the bigger, rounder edge into your palm and allowing your fingers and knuckles to wrap around the skinnier bottom rail. At the same time, your thumb will naturally find that long channel. This has a great feel when dodging one handed. Torque Box 2

Intelligent Weave allows for a more uniform construction as the carbon filaments in each tow (row) are spread out creating a thinner and more closed woven fabric providing reduced weight, optimal mechanicals and minimal voids in the composite layup.  By reducing “Crimp” (when carbon fiber runs in a uniform direction(s) that is not structurally beneficial) we can decrease weight by reducing non-essential material while maintaining the structural integrity required by lacrosse.

Lower F.A.W.

The Dragonfly utilizes unidirectional carbon fiber prepreg with a lower F.A.W. (Fiber Areal Weight) than conventional shafts. These smaller, lighter fibers allow for a tighter orientation of the carbon fiber. More fibers equals increased durability.

When passing or shooting, a load is introduced to the shaft causing it to flex back, which causes the carbon fibers to be stretched along the front of the shaft and compressed along the back. (Fiber Areal Weight) and high-modulus carbon fiber, which creates urgency for the fibers to return to their natural position for maximum recoil

Resin

The carbon fiber pre-preg used in Epoch shafts undergoes a chemical surface treatment process to improve the mechanical “locking” (compatibility) between the fibers and the matrix resin.
