Ok, this may be a helpful explanation or be very confusing. With your palm facing up, I measured my hand out and found that the distance between my index finger and pinkie finger was 3.75 inches. Essentially the width of my palm. Then I measured from the base of my middle finger to the base of my palm was 4.5 inches. My middle finger is 4 inches long from tip to knuckle. I ordered a 12 and it is very snug on me. I believe the more I wear it the more it will break in. Hope this helps

Answer:	I wear them skiing. The temperature is usually in the 20s or 30s but I’m moving a lot. My big puffy ski gloves are too warm so my hands get sweaty, wet, then cold. These dry fast.

Answer:	Thanks for the question. These are waterproof to IPX5. IPX ratings are the level of waterproof ability. IPX1 is like a sponge (not waterproof at all). IPX9 is like rubber gloves (totally impermeable). IPX5 is waterproof against heavy rain. These have been designed to be used for sports like football, rugby, cycling, running etc. They are not exactly designed for play in the snow and without snow here ATM we cannot test them. We would like to say they would be fine for light snow playing but cannot be 100% sure. If used in conjunction with kids rubber gloves (as a liner) these would be 100% fine.

Answer:	REPLY FROM OGLOVE: These are waterproof to IPX5. Thats heavy rain. We are soccer coaches in the UK and developed these as we could not find any good gloves which keep out the water. They are not bulky at all.

If you use these for exercise then these will be fine at those temperatures. Answer:	I'm guessing about a small, since I have the medium and they seem to have a decent amount of space if my hands were bigger they would still fit my mediums. So small would likely be best for a nine year old
