Answer:	No clue, my team has only used this product. The swingaway mvp looks like it would take longer to set up and also looks like more problems could occur with it.

Answer:	Yes just buy the softball version and you are good to go. I use this with my 8u team and they love it.

Answer:	You bet. One season with both high school varsity softball and baseball teams hitting this trainer, and it's still going. Colder than average spring had us inside two or more days every week plus Sunday batting cage sessions. If you're outside with it, it can be staked down. Inside had us putting two boxes of the office's copy paper in it to hold it down. It'll require a hand tightening at the beginning of every session (no time or effort really required with the nylon hand grip bolt heads) and it's good for your son and 8 of his buddies.

Answer:	It is ready after assembly. If you do not have a decent wooden bat, you need one. The trainer will eventually ruin a metal bat. This trainer is GREAT. My son uses it all the time.

Answer:	My guess would be no. It has a normal plastic blow up ring. Not an inner tube type.

Answer:	Yes someone needs to hold the stick for this trainer. The nice thing about this is the person holding it can vary the height and depth of where you hit the ball. I believe the automated ones keep the ball in the same spot every time which is certainly not the same in a game situation.

Question:	my basketball goal pole is too big... about 5in square. Any Idea on how to install it
Answer:	The reason for this is that with many of the composite bats that kids are using these days, the bat manufacturers do not recommend hitting batting machine balls, or tools such as this - which has a really hard plastic end. Actual baseballs have more 'give' to them. With little kids, it probably won't make a difference - but once they're 11 or 12, and hitting much more power, then you could potentially be putting your $300 sweet game bat in jeopardy. With my son, he only uses an old 'dead' bat for BP, and only is good 'game' bat for tournaments.

Answer:	The ball is attached to the cord, so the whole cord/ball would have to be replaced. My son has hit it a million times and it does not need to be replaced.

Answer:	YES!!! The company doesn't grasp the versatility of the PTS. The individual softball and baseball Hit-A-Way products use Velcro straps to attach the cable to trees or poles 4" or less in diameter. The PTS is a pole 4" or less in diameter. Strap on the softball and swing away! No extra parts are required. The Velcro strips may slide or rotate slightly after 20-30 hits, but that will occur on any free-standing pole. I suspect 2-3 wraps of duct tape might a pliable surface to help keep it in place.For those with the perspective that practicing with a smaller ball will make it easier to hit a larger ball, keep in mind that the ball weights are different. A softball can weigh 30-40% more than a baseball. The feel is entirely different. There is some merit to hitting a heavier ball.

Answer:	My five year 44 inches, has a bit of a problem with the height of the baseball ( rope length is too high) which creates a high ball. The softball attachment is lower and helps. Note: the 5 yr old is not very coordinated yet.Now the 10 year old rocks, no issues at all other than taking her eye off the ball.I believe the 7th old will not have any issues.One more thing, with this equipment, it will be best to assist and provide some instruction for a while until they learn to hit with power. The power is what winds up the rope that than unwinds for them to hit. I like to count three unwinds before they hit: for timing. Without the power, the rope (cable) goes limp and you have to wind it up with some help. Once they figure it out, no worries. Works good with a friend taking turns hitting back and forth from either side.hope that helps

Question:	How much does each model weigh
Answer:	If not used properly, the cable can become jammed at the end where height adjustment of the ball is made. That's what happened to the portable trainer I have when used by my son's 13/14yr old teammates. A college hitter shouldn't have that problem. As long as contact with the ball is proper and consistent, he can get hundreds of repetitions. I also recommend not leaving it outside where the weather can cause the ball to deteriorate. Fun gift though.
Question:	Can this help you if you are using it only for taking dry swings
Answer:	The u bolt that attaches the upper cable of the baseball has a captive nut inside the pole. It cannot be removed unless you cut the cable. This will not work in the baseball trainer without significant modification.

Answer:	I just depends on how often you use the Insider Bat. If you use it once a week, it could take a few months. If you use it every day for about 20-30mins... you should start to see memory in about 2 weeks. IMO. My daughter uses this product, and was turned on by her hitting coach. There is a visual side to this... you don't hit the ball if you roll. The direction you hit is dependent on the mechanics. When you can notice the mechanics and the placement of the hit (response) you realize the mechanics are "spot on." Then, you always need to reiterate those mechanics; not as often as the beginning, but every week when we go to hitting, they usually spend about 5 minutes on the insider bat to check the mechanics.

Question:	Can i track the same player on two different devices
Answer:	Thank you for your interest in the Rope Bat. The black cylinder shaped head is made of foam rubber and heat shrink wrap. It weighs only 5 ounces, and it is very safe. Have your child swing it easy and slowly at first to learn how to decelerate after swinging through the hitting zone. This only takes a few minutes. Six is a great age to start training with the Rope Bat before bad habits are learned. I recommend setting the grip indicator to 26 for six year old.
Question:	The clear rubber\plastic piece that holds the device to the bat... Where can I get a replacement
Answer:	Thank you for your interest in the Rope Bat. The Rope Bat measures 29.5 inches from end to end (the tip of the barrel to the tip of the handle). If you exclude the barrel (the black cylinder at the top), it measures 23 inches.
Question:	Baseball or softball version for slow-pitch
Answer:	Thank you for your question. The Rope Bat can help with power! Swinging with your body (instead of your arms and hands), as the Rope Bat requires, increases bat speed which increases power. The Rope Bat also develops lag, which is essential for power. I hope this helps!
Question:	Why does the softball version cost $138 but the baseball version cost
Answer:	The instructional insert that is included with the Rope Bat explains that batters who use a 33" or 34" bat should hold the end of the grip. I hope this information is helpful.

Question:	Do you need a tripod to video your swing or does the iphone just need to be nearby? In some photos it shows an iphone or ipad on a tripod
Answer:	It is well constructed and made for use with legal softball or baseball bats.
Question:	Does it measure dry swings or only swings with contact
Answer:	No, the stick is stationary, not retractable... it is fairly durable for travel, just don’t slam it in the door!!
Question:	If we use this for baseball but then later what to use it for golf, how to we reset it to be used for a new sport

Question:	Is this compatible with the new bats they are making all youth baseball players purchase for the 2018 seasons
Answer:	One end has a softball sized ball, the other end has a baseball sized ball on the end. This stick will work for both softball and baseball. The baseball obviously smaller in size will be harder to hit but will improve the accuracy, and coordination of the batter.
