With the HomePatrol 2 Im able to monitor my local civilian airports, Nellis AFB, the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) including Groom Lake aka Area 51 and the Tonopah Test Range. Theres a small piece of spectrum between 54 to 88 MHz where some military aircraft like to hangout that the HP2 cant receive, but all other bands (e.g. 30-50, 108-136, 138-144, 148-150.8, 162-174, 225-400, and 406-420 MHz) it will receive.

Particulate from the fire can build up and cover the components inside the TV causing the heat generated by the TV to build up. The TV has an optimal operating temperature of between 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F). Beyond that, excessive heat can cause temperature-sensitive materials to degrade quickly, and conductive materials can even sprout little metal whiskers, causing shorts within the TVs circuitry. If you're not using the fireplace, then that not an issue. The other thing you need to consider is how high above the ideal level the TV will be installed above your fireplace. Placing it above a fireplace moves the image you’re trying to watch well above eye level. That could put you in an uncomfortable position where you're having to crane your neck which could result in headaches or neck aches due to poor posture. You can always get a mount that allows you to angle the TV down towards your viewing angle to accommodate for this. Answer:	Not well. Des Moines is on the Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System (ISICS) which uses many simulcast sites. If you’re in range of two towers broadcasting the same frequency you will have issues. The SDS100 and 200 are the only current Uniden scanners to handle simulcast well.

I live in Raynham,Bristol, Massachusetts and why do I get , in my car a frequency of a city over 20 miles . I want to set the GPS only to 5 miles. Answer:	Good question. Here's my short answer after about 6 hours of work on my part. 1) The scanner does work well, and its super fast. 2) It scans wirelessly only to the ScanSnap manager which will exhibit the file on its screen. 3) PDF Expert, PDF Sutdio Pro, and ABBYY fine scan programs will not work to import the scan directly. The only way you can work with the scan is to drag and drop the scanned image from ScanSnap Manager into one of your other programs. I was using Acrobat, but since they shut down the program I purchased, and requested a monthly fee, I decided to go with another program. Its probable that you could scan direct to a program if you wanted to wire it in, but then why buy a wireless? Hope this helps.

Answer:	It shouldn’t be rebooting. Based on how many cameras you have and what resolution your recording at determines how many days your records stay on the drive. My setup consists of 16 cameras running at 1080 and recording at 1080 so I only have three days of recordings before the drive start to recycle them.

Answer:	It should work with any POS system. The question is what kind of bar code you want to read. For example, I use this scanner to scan serial numbers on computer with a regular bar code and computer parts with special 2D bar code (a tiny code). This scanner can read all popular bar codes. So, I think it is a safe buy. FYI, Apple recommends this scanner for their service.
Question:	Can it save pdf files to a smart phone
Answer:	You need to press the button but that's a feature because in a typical scanning environment there are lots of things with bar codes around and you don't want the unit to pick up false signals.

Question:	Will this work with macos big sur
Answer:	As of 1/25/21 the driver does not work properly with Big Sur 11.2 running on a 2020 M1 mac mini (it scans 1 document after a computer restart, then refuses to scan again unless computer is restarted!) Spoke with Canon cs who suggested that they are continuing to work on updates, but no target availability date yet. TWAIN driver also does not work with Apple's "image capture" software included with the M1 mini, and Canon doesn't have plans to update it. Sadly, the scanner hardware seems of very good quality and is very fast when the software works. Probably great on older OS's and machines. ***Discovered a workaround--immediately after restarting, the scanner will remain connected/fully functional for a minute or two, during which you can scan like mad until it times out and you are forced to restart again!

Answer:	Yes it does support up to legal size. I just got mine in yesterday and put it through the paces. I’m a mobile notary so scanning mixed paper sizes in the same scan is a must. It scanned letter and legal with no problems and quickly. It even says it can scan 11x14 in the brochure.

Answer:	Feeder works well, hasn't eaten any photos yet. The output tray is balky but adequate. Software can do color correction, either for each photo or as a preset.
