We have had 12 year olds who have a smaller head and mouth prefer the youth and 7/8 year old who have bigger than average heads/mouths that need the adult. After they are custom fit per the instructions you will also get a much better fit, and if you need to get an adult size you can trim that size down in the length too. Answer:	No. This mouthgard is for the top teeth only. I suppose you could wear it facing down, but it is designed for one row of teeth (with space for braces). My teenage son used this for boxing, wrestling and Jiu Jitsu with no teeth, tongue or lip injury. Make sure you buy the correct size, there is an adult and youth version. The youth version was too small for him when he was 13.

Answer:	I doubt it will. My head circumference is around the same size. What happens is, the hook side of the Velcro will only adhere to a small part of the loop side that results in a lesser adhesive strength. From my experience, this causes the head gear to slip and/or come off altogether. Hope this helps.

Answer:	My 8 and 10 year old used them. I think they would be fine for a 5 year old but it just depends on their mouth I guess.

Question:	Well, is it a fake one a knock off or not
Answer:	I honestly dont remember this purchase.it was a while. Ack. If I remember correctly, it worked just like the expensive ($60) we had previously gotten from the orthodontist.
Question:	Is this a youth size
Answer:	This is an adult mouthguard. You may be able to trim it to fit a larger youth.
Question:	Will this square up my jaw with no teeth
Answer:	No sure. You shape the mold to your teeth.
Question:	Should I boil to fit teeth
Answer:	Just follow the instructions for boiling. I had a very bad experience with this mouth guard, it was never a good fit no matter how many times I tried to re-fit.
