Answer: Why would you use sport Fencing equipment for knife defence? No, it is not. Is made to protect your chest from fencing weapons like the foil. I wouldn’t advise it.

Answer: I think not. Designed to stop hard tip hits from fencing gear. Not strikes from gloves. Made of hard plastic with no padding.
