Basically with being made of foam, this mat can be punctured with sharp toys or objects, heavy items as it is very lightweight, pets with their their nails all may may poke holes or cause formation issues on foam mat, please be careful with it. Answer:	You should be able to do tucks & other skill level tricks on this mat as long as it's on a hard enough surface. I have noticed when the kids use it out on the grass the mats will move a little cause the grass is thick. It also depends on whether you are doing standing backs or round off backhandspring backs. Standing backs it should stay in place.

Answer:	This mat is very firm. I was using it on the floor for exercises and I thought to myself - why don't I try it on my bed which had a valley in it that was causing a back problem.
