This is a custom table tennis bat, hand assembled in our USA Pro Shop. We start with a hand lacquered high quality blade, and two ITTF/USATT approved rubbers. The Gambler ThermoPoly Carbon blade is constructed of 5 ply Limba and Kukui wood + 2 layers of ThermoPoly Carbon. With the soft carbon used for speed and stabilization, this blade has a huge sweet spot with the extra kick only carbon can provide. The rubbers are Gambler Wraith, an ITTF/USATT approved rubber that can be used in National or International events. Gambler Wraith has mildly aggressive tackiness with an emphasis on controlled attack comes with 2.1mm mid soft Orange Cell Sponge. Combined Ratings (1-100): Speed: 92 Control: 88 Spin: 92. Is this bat considered light or heavy? This bat has an approximate total weight of 176 grams, this falls on the LIGHT side of a professional table tennis bat (average weight of a professional bat with rubbers is 170 grams to 195 grams). Bats over 195 are considered to be heavy, while bats under 170 are considered to be feather weight. The paddle is professionally finished with edge tape, and the rubbers may be removed and replaced when worn. A single Gambler Competitor paddle case in blue is included. Since we are a real live table tennis store all factory original replacement rubbers are available through our USA Pro Shop, the cost to purchase a set of replacement rubbers for the Gambler ThermoPoly Carbon blade is only $12.00. No other company offers reasonably priced factory original rubbers in conjunction with assembled bats.

| Answer: | Yes, the rubbers may be removed. From the Butterfly site:" Unlike the pre-assembled rackets, the rubber on the Pro-Line models can easily be removed and replaced." It would not make sense to do otherwise for a racket of this price. This is indeed the price to make such a racket. The blade is about $85 and each Tenergy rubber sheet is $75, totalling $235. You are getting the assembly free. |
