Since the highest quality truly grass fed bovine (we believe) comes from Brazil, Brazil banned the use of DDT so have found unique solutions to raising grass fed cattle. While the farms we source our bovine from have higher standards then many organic farms in the US, we have yet to find any Brazilian cattle farm which wants to pay the USDA fee's just to get the organic certification. These farmers are family owned farms who believe in raising high quality cattle with high standards, culturally they don't understand or see the value in paying a high fee to a US organization for a label. These farmers we have spoken with can't justify the cost asked by the USDA for a stamp. We are not aware of any grass fed pasture raised collagen that is certified organic due to the fact that the high end grass fed bovine is sourced from south american farms which don't want to pay the fee's associated with being classified as organic in America. While our bovine source has higher standards then many organic farms, they refuse to pay for a label that they feel doesn't help them raise great cattle.
