Question 1: The flashlight is not bright, or there are only two or three lower brightness available

Please fully charge the battery before the first use. The light will not be able to access the high/turbo brightness if the battery is weak.

Question:	The unit says 3000 lumens, can the prodcut run in this mode for long? Purchased another one that's 1600 that said to limit time in this mode
Answer:	The flashlight will run for a limited time at 3,000lumens. The spec manual states how long the flashlight will run on different modes.

Answer:	It comes with a case. Can't remember if it has a lanyard. Nice flashlight but I prefer the tactical pd36r. There all great flashlights!
Question:	Does the light have momentary switch? Ability to turn on without clicking it on
Answer:	No. PD40RV2 uses a rotary switch to control power on/off and different brightness settings. It is a work light.
Question:	why is this ridiculously overpriced
Answer:	$100-$150 is the going rate for a quality light. I currently own four different styles of fenix flashlights and none of them have failed me. I will always own a fenix!

Answer:	You didn’t do anything wrong. I purchased three of these and at various times they all started shutting off. One I used for about a week. The other a few days. Eventually I returned all of them. So I believe the product is not made properly.

Answer:	Yes, it will come back at the same setting. If you press the power button twice when you turn it off, it will come on at the lowest brightness when you turn it back on.

Answer:	The clip is removable, but there is an inset channel for it to fit in on towards the bottom of flashlight. There is not a corresponding groove towards the top of the flashlight, so the clip will likely not fit securely if reversed.
Question:	Can Cr 123 be used as a backup
Answer:	The barrel of the Fenix E35 is larger than the Cr123 diameter. The Cr123 would move around inside. I would not recommend the switch.

Question:	Can you use the tail switch to change the output, when the flashlight is in outdoor mode
Answer:	No. The button on the barrel changes output. The switch on the tail is on/off or momentary.
Question:	Is 1,000 lumen too bright? As in does it start burning materials like paper or plastic when it's at the highest level
Answer:	1000 lumens is bright but perfect for any occasion. The flashlight itself will get hot if left on for a long period of time but nothing to be concerned about. Also keep in mind this is a 1000 lumen flashlight but it has several different modes to adjust the lumens/brightness to any occasion!
Question:	How many 18650 batteries does this flashlight need
Answer:	This only needs 1 18650 battery. I would recommend either Nitcore or EastShine. Nitecore also makes a nice charging system.

Answer:	No. PD40R V2 uses a 21700 battery, PD35 use a 18650 battery. They are not compatible.
Question:	Can it be used with the Fenix pressure switch
Answer:	no. it will not fit the pd40rv2 flashlight. the pd40rv2 tail cap is not removable. the front of the light behind the rotary switch unscrews to install the battery. none of fenix pressure switches will fit this style of flashlight. i hope this helps you. thomas b.

Answer:	Should be no problem. I have a USB-C to USB-C advanced wall charger that puts out 48 watts It charges it just fine. But I like to charge lithium ion batteries with a slow charge. So I have a USB to USB c plug on wall adapter also. It's a fire torch!

Question:	Can you lock out the side button
Answer:	The charger that comes with the D58 plugs into a USB-A socket. Use a 2A USB adapter, just as the user manual says. When you do, the actual charge rage is 1.04 amps. The charger will get somewhat hot. The battery will require an hour or so to recharge. If you use an old 500mA USB adapter to supply the charger, it will work but it will take longer. The charger cable is a custom plug, not found anywhere else. Actual runtime in the drone is 15 to 18 minutes.

Answer:	It comes with extra props and guards. Haven’t looked, but seems likely you can buy them too.

Answer:	Looks like the D80 is brush-less while the D58 is not, however the D58 has a camera that can move from level to 90 degrees while the D80 does not. I prefer the D 58 because i can rotate the camera.

Answer:	Mine did not come with a clip. There may be after market clips available for its approx. 1.4 cm diameter. good luck.
Question:	It doesn't look like a small keyring would actually fit thru the small keyring slot. Will a keyring fit in this flashlight
Answer:	yes it does, It comes with a tiny key ring. I was able to put it on but I used a toothpick as a guide to open the keyring and slide it on while putting the ligh on behind the toothpick. This way the flashlight slides right on and it doesn't get scratches from tge key ring while assembling it.

Answer:	I believe it is 5500K. Nice bright white.
Question:	When it is charged and OFF does it still use power and eventually drain the battery
Answer:	Any battery will have some degree of self discharge most modern batteries handle self discharge pretty well, that being said I charged it when it arrived and I've used it a bit and it's always in my pocket and in the month or so I've had it I haven't needed to charge it yet. I would think it could probably sit for at least 6 months and still have a usable charge in it.

Question:	Does this light have 2 or 3 output levels? The description first says 2 then says 3, which is correct
Answer:	Only tested it on the high setting. With a fully recharged 26650 li-ion battery (5200mAh) on HIGHEST output, it stays bright enough(>80% brightness) for practical use for 5 hours then becomes a lot dimmer(~10% brightness) after 6 hours. Using a 3400mAh protected 18650 battery it usually gives you preferred high brightness for about 2.5 hours. The good thing about this flashlight is it can also take regular AAs although they are not as powerful and long-lasting as the li-ion ones. In the weekend camping or night hiking scenarios, I would primary use it with MEDIUM output for longer run-time.
Question:	Can I use Energizer lithium battery in it
Answer:	Focus adjustment on this unit is a push and pull - not a twist - I was able to do it one handed with some practice using my thumb and index finger - or holding the unit with my right hand and sliding out with my left... very easily adjustable either way .... Hope this helps ... Mark

Answer:	These are the battery choices: 1 each 26650 rechargeable 3.7 volt lithium ion cell or 1 each (smaller diameter) 18650 3.7 volt rechargeable lithium ion cell housed in the supplied plastic centering sleeve or 3 each AA cell ( a variety of chemistries, disposable or recharcheable ) housed in the supplied AA cell carrier. The first option ( 26650 cell ) provides the longest operating time and lowest operating expense ( my favored solution ). The third option, using 3 fresh disposable alkaline AA cells, provides slightly brighter initial performance due to the higher voltage of the battery pack but is the most expensive operating option.
Question:	Can it use a 14500 3.7v battery
Answer:	There is no reference as to the lumens, voltage, amps nor the type of bulb used (which can also indicate lumen level) that is provided by the manufacturer. So don't assume that the answer that 800-1000 is accurate. Many flashlights in this price range are around 300 lumens but who knows for this one. For example, a CREE XM-L T6 bulb at 3.2A produces about 900 lumens with a 18650 cell (3.7 Volts).

Answer:	The charge port is on the battery. You take the battery out of the flashlight and plug the charging cable into the USB-C port on the side of the top of the battery.
