Answer:	It is a gong. I bought the 8 inch model, shot my .308 at it....worked perfectly, bought another for yet another yardage.

Answer:	It really depends if you plan to use a hanger and t-post or hang on 2 chains. If hung by chains, the bullets will richochet straight back at you. Do not stand closer than 10 yards. If this is hung on a t-post and canted downward, the spent and flattened bullets will land within 2 to 4 feet in front of the target. Stand at least 5 yards away. These approximations are for a 9mm bullet fired from straight in front of the target. Higher velocity shells will richochet further. A shot fired from the side will richochet to the opposite side approximately the same distance. Wear appropriate eyeware when shooting a steel target.

Answer:	The chains you buy come with 1/4" bolts. They move as the hole are closer to 3/8". I just held them with channel locks and tightened with a socket.

Answer:	I shoot 30-06, 308 and 9 mm at these targets. No problems with ricochet. But I shoot at distances of 30 to 100 yards

Answer:	This might be a question better directed to the company through their Facebook page, but as a general rule you want your impact velocity under 3000 fps. It is my understanding that if you use a soft point (no steel core and non fmj) then a 1/2" should stop a 7mm Rem Mag.
Question:	Do you know of any heated targets? Trying to zero in my thermal scope
Answer:	Use aluminum foil it creates a void, like looking at glass with a thermal, and requires no heat. You can create what ever shape target you need. We use this method for zeroing our thermals.

Answer:	I believe it will hold up, but I would be cautious shooting steel at 100 yards with anything higher powered (30-06, 300winmag, 7mm remmag etc...). I shoot mine at 150 yards with a 30-06 and have no pitting so far. .223/5.56 is good at 150 also...

Answer:	It's either 3/4 or 5/8, do not remember exactly. Pretty big. Product description says "Use ½” carriage bolt for mounting holes". To use 3/8 carriage bolt, I put inside the hole a 3/8 split lock washer I had and it got in easily. That said, the hole is most likely 3/4 (cannot measure it exactly as it is fully assembled now).

Answer:	Not sure, doesn't matter to me. I've shot them countless times with 9mm, .38 and .357 and they sustain no damage. Only .223/5.56 or higher has put pits in them, and even from 30 yards not much damage. I shoot them with 7.62x39 and 5.56 and I'm very happy with them.

Question:	Can I use 223/5.56 rounds on this targets
Answer:	Yes Targets work great with that round and lower caliber. Shot a 308 @100yard dented target but did not go through it.
Question:	Will a 45 acp go though this
Answer:	I have not fired upon this steel using 45 ACP ammo, so I can not speak from personal experienced. I've used 9mm, 380, and .223 with great success on these targets.
Question:	Are these really ar500 steel
Answer:	These plates have stopped hundreds of handgun caliber rounds @ 10-25 yards without any deformation of the steel. I’ve seen other AR500 plates that have not stood up as well.
Question:	Do u think this would hold up to a factory 30/30 round
Answer:	Yes my son has shot them with his 30/30. I love them going to build a mount out of two post a chain and s hooks I just have two mounted under a board right now
