| Answer: | When I was a boy in Nebraska, from the age of 10 or 11 'til I was 14 I hunted jack rabbits with a wrist rocket and 1/2" steel ball bearings. Jack rabbits are larger than snow shoe rabbits. They are tough and fast. The ball bearings were lethal, and the farmers paid me 25 cents per rabbit, since they ate their corn and other crops. I suppose the 3/8" balls would be a little less lethal, but probably more than adequate for squirrels. I think you could practice with glass or some other round objects of approximately the same size. As I kid, I practiced with rocks, the smoother and the more spherical the better. |

Secondly, if you injure the bird you might be liable for a fine, imprisonment or both. In this day and age there are cameras everywhere. However, all that said, there's no way that will shoot a golf ball 50 ft with any force at all. It's made for small dense ammo...rocks, ball bearing, etc |

If your eight year old has undergone state sanctioned hunter safety training and is licensed to hunt in your state, maybe it would be appropriate with adult supervision. However, the minimum age to hunt (with an adult) in most states is 12. You see, the arm brace, shown as the horizontal part in the picture, makes this slingshot much more effective and dangerous. I do not use the end caps because the rubber parts deteriorate from sunlight and Ozone and requires replacement before any tearing occurs. | Answer: | I can't remember exactly how long I have had mine but I must be a couple months already. My bands have not shown any signs of wear and it still shoots well. Sunlight is rubbers enemy. When mine is not in use I keep it in its travel bag. I also have a spare set of bands for that just in case moment. A good silicone lubricant will extend the life of your bands as well. | Answer: | Yes, The plastic arm rest pulls off. Then the metal stabilizer pushes forward and comes right off. Easy to take on and off as needed. |

| Answer: | At 10 yards it (or rather, I) can be pretty accurate. At 15 yards, not quite so much. And at 20+ yards, I need to take up another target sport... |

| Answer: | There is a rubber pointed tip on the ball launcher, it makes it easier to slide the rubber bands on. Put superglue where you are going to pull the band. Push the band's on quickly as far as you can so it really stays on. Leave it to really set for a day before you pull the sling shot. I use mine in the ocean, while I sit in the shallows and shoot. My dog flies after the ball. Even with saltwater, the band's last a few years without wearing out. |
