Answer:	If they say it is, they're lying. In fact, the seal around that gas spring on the left hand side will more than likely fail and spray oil all over whatever is in the container in a fire. Most of them only hold up to a few hundred degrees at best and a house fire is 800-1200F.

Answer:	Yes it comes with mounting hardware. If mounted vertically the box should be positioned so that the door opens left to right or right to left. It says if mounted vertically and the spring loaded door has to open upward it won’t stay open. I will note that I have not vertically mounted mine, but when I do I will mount it so that the spring loaded door opens right to left.

The inside is not air tight or waterproof. If that is required, I would look to a heavier-duty safe that clearly states its fire proof rating.

Answer:	I can't see how that would work, since the cable would pass thru the drawers. However, there are mounting holes on the underside, and there are screws provided. It is intended for mounting on a horizontal surface. The instruction manual reads (in part): "IMPORTANT Mounting the safe vertically so that the door flips upward will result in incomplete opening of the save due to weight. The door will open if the safe is mounted vertically so that door opens down or to the side."

After you release all 4 ends and the shelf is removed, you can press up the bottom of the shelf holder and you should be able to remove the shelf holder and move it to a preferable lever and adjust the shelf. You can turn on and off the keypad beeps and such, but the *door open* beep that begins once the door has been open for a couple of minutes cannot be turned off. Here is a link to the user's manual. I have changed batteries twice, and had completely dead batteries in the safe for more than a week, and I have not had to re-register my fingerprints. Question:	Can you open it with the key, remove the key with it open, and then close the unit and it locks? Or does key need to remain in to lock
Answer:	The key does not need to remain in it to have it locked. There is no way to close it without it locking. When the door closes with or without the key it will lock. You can inadvertently lock the key inside.
Question:	What are the inside dimensions, not the package dimensions
Answer:	It holds a standard pistol, say a colt 1911, Will not hold a American eagle 50 cal
Question:	Have you fixed the severe security flaw yet? That you can register a fingerprint without opening the box
Answer:	I just purchased 2 of these handgun safes and received them Jan 20, 2020. Both of these safes were the new improved version and had the security issue fixed. You no longer can access the program button with the gun safe door closed. Tghis is no longer an issue, at least on the 2 gun safes I just received.

Answer:	Yes, it holds a ton of finger prints. I have mutiple fingers for multiple people. I think it holds 20 distinct fingerprints. The first 1 or 2 are admins though, so do the primary user(s) first
