We do not recommend freezing the KOOLGATOR Cooling Neck Wrap as this will damage the crystal polymers sewn inside the middle chamber. This will reduce the useful life of the polymers. Placing the product inside a refrigerator will allow the water inside the polymers to get colder than they would on their own, however the polymers will eventually warm up to the ambient temperature outside while wearing it. After about 60 minutes or so, most people like to refresh the KOOLGATOR with a redip or splashing some water on it to rewet the fabric. In addition, we recommend that you rotate the KOOLGATOR side that is against your neck, every so often. This flips the “warm” side that was against your neck, to the “cool” side that was being cooled down through better airflow and evaporation. This will pull even more heat away from your body.

Question:	Car??? Can you see this being a good option for use in a vehicle
Answer:	For a bolted safe to the bed in a SUV/suburban or in the trunk of a car it would work. With a foam rack inside sold on amazon mine easily holds 5 pistols plus a few boxes of ammo. Real issue is battery life in extreme tempetures. It has a key feature for when battery dies. You could use this feature 24/7. This is not a small safe and will not fit under most seats. Also rough roads bouncing weapons around. There probably are better options

Answer:	Yes. I keep one in there, along with a bunch of ammo. You could safely keep at least a few inside.

Answer:	I can find no information regarding fire rating. The product specs indicate that it is NOT fireproof. The box is steel which will provide some additional time before sympathetic detonation of your cartridges. The simple rule of thumb for ammunition must apply....the interior of this box must be kept below 350 F or you will be at risk of cookoff.
Question:	What happenes when the battery goes in the safe
Answer:	I purchased one on an auction website and it came without the manual key. I figured I'd change the batteries every few months so i wouldn't ever be locked out. For whatever reason, my safe never gave the indicator warning the installed batteries needed to be changed - I was locked out! After I tried unsuccessfully to get key replacements from Barska, I ended up ordering the external battery powered backup accessory from Barska for about $20. It runs off of 4 AA batteries and plugs directly into a port on the side of the Biometric "dial" on the door. I highly recommend getting it just in case the keys get misplaced. Just remember not to keep the back-up in the safe...lol.

Answer:	A common mistake is that the directions say the fingerprint is registered after three beeps. But you have to hold the finger there for ALL three beeps. If you remove it after the first beep, it still will beep three times, but it doesn't register the print. You also might try registering prints for the same finger in slightly different positions. That way, you don't have to get the print on there just perfectly.

Answer:	For a couple hundred bucks, this safe seems pretty good. If someone REALLY wanted in, they could breach it, but I bolted it to the wall and keep my guns in it.

Answer:	No it is not. Nor is it waterproof. Both fireproof and waterproof have their pluses and minuses. Both options can be very expensive. I have read many of times important documents mildewing inside a waterproof safe. Basically moisture gets trapped inside and can ruin birth certificates, etc and rust on guns or knives. As far as fireproof, what is the first thing the fire dept is gonna do? They are gonna hose your house with water. Your fireproof safe is sealed but hi heat will melt it and water is going to come inside and ruin everything in your safe. A safe rated for hi temps is great and all but beery thing inside will melt. I have seen many pics of safes surviving fires but its contents are ruined by either extreme heat or it sucking in water creating a steam box. I would not look too hard into waterproof or fireproof safes. I love my Barska safe bc it does what it want it to do. It keeps my three yr old out and I can get access very, very quickly. I have it attached with cable anchored to concrete. I have a big safe that keeps our important documents and rifle. It is a lower end Browning safe with a 12" heat tube to keep it constant temp all year long to control humidity. If someone wants those items in those safes they will take a long time to get them out of my house. If you must have fireproof you will need a concrete room but you will battle mildew unless you keep it warm all year long. I know its a lil long but its important that you collect as much facts about safes, both good and bad bc a $1000 safe can hold up as much as a $5000.

Answer:	Nothing was mentioned in the material I received. But, with confidence I would say no. The top lid is not thick enough to protect items inside from high heat. The inside is not air tight or waterproof. If that is required, I would look to a heavier-duty safe that clearly states its fire proof rating.

Answer:	I can't see how that would work, since the cable would pass thru the drawers. However, there are mounting holes on the underside, and there are screws provided. It is intended for mounting on a horizontal surface. The instruction manual reads (in part): "IMPORTANT Mounting the safe vertically so that the door flips upward will result in incomplete opening of the save due to weight. The door will open if the safe is mounted vertically so that door opens down or to the side."
