Answer:	I've never once had Benchmade all me for a receipt when sending in a knife for service...not once. They simply verify that the knife is legit and not a clone and then fix whatever is wrong, and then return your knife to you. I've sent in probably 30 over the years, and they've never asked for my receipt to proceed I bought it from a authorized reseller. They realize that people sell these so much on the secondary market, that it would be impossible to have a receipt for every single one-plus who saves a receipt from 5-10 years ago? Nobody. They just fix them, or offer you credit for another model if the one you send in can't be fixed and is out of production.

Answer:	If anyone's interested, I just returned the DT990 Pro 250 Ohm in favor of the DT880 Pro 250. Haven't gotten the 880s yet but if what I've read is accurate the have to be a better choice for me. I couldn't stand the 990s any longer. VERY over colored in the high end and the bass would give a bowling ball a headache. Totally blanketed the midrange. Might be the ticket for gamers, over the top CGI heavy movies, or if you like over emphasized bass in your music. Just not accurate at all.
