Answer:	Dont buy the medium for stripes. My medium was incredibly fragile. Read the Kastking "warranty". You must mail a defective rod back along with $20. Then they will inspect it. If they feel like it wasn't defective, then they will require an additional payment of 1/2 price. If they determine it was 100% their fault, then they will keep your $20 to repair or replace it. I have never had a rod break in my life, before this one.

Answer:	Athough I have never fished for channel catfish I have fished for large saltwater fish for years. The heaviest Cherrywood casting rod is 10-20lb class. You want a heavier rod for catfish. Try catfish specific rod? I have a 7ft Ugly Stik catfish rod, I use it for saltwater. I use my Cherrywood for bass and inshore saltwater.

Question:	Can I use a baitcast reel with this rod
Answer:	These rods are not designed for baitcast reels, there is no finger grip on the rod and the eyes are bound to take take a hanging load. Also you may find the dimensions of the reel seat to be bigger than required for a baitcast reel, i have generally found baitcast reels to have more slimline feet. Although there is nothing stopping the use of a baitcast reel on this rod if you can put up with the differences but in general i wouldn't recommend it.
Question:	What reels are compatible with this product
Answer:	Hi, the size reel does depend on the type of fish you are planning to target and the environment you are fishing in. Generally with this rod you are best with a spinning reel that is light and has moderate to fast gear ratio. The Whistytwig WT3500 reel that we sell is a great match for this rod and is an all rounder so is great for most type of fishing.
Question:	can i pair it with a saltist back bay 4000? headed to the philippines and need it to not fail on me. planned on fishing 20lb braid
Answer:	I had a look at the specs of this reel, never had one before myself but it has good ratio, appears nice and light, looks like it would work well. The line is above the max size for the rod so you may need to keep the drag off a bit. I used this size Whistytwig rod myself when Barramundi fishing with 20lb braid although i use the Whistytwig 3500 reel, haven't caught a barramundi yet so can't tell you if the rod holds up to the 20lb line. Answer:	The tip is solid fiberglass. Yes you are correct, it is difficult to sustain durability on a telescopic rod if the tip is carbon fiber.
