Answer:	The only difference in a casting rod would be slightly smaller rod eyes since these spinning rods could easily double for a casting rod due to their under size rod eyes. I would suggest a larger type saltwater bait cast so it will seat better .

Answer:	Just had an Okuma Rockaway in my hands...Very nice carbon fiber rod. Similarly light weight as Fiblink, same skinny butt section, same matte charcole black/dark gray color. The Rockaways tend to be medium power and action. Guides probably superior. The Fiblinks tend to be heavier power/faster action. Other than that they could have come from the same factory. I like the Rockaways Okumas a lot....

Answer:	I have and i have had no problem landing strippers 50inches I do not have any available pictures but I line my reel with 30lb braid and I have no problems

Then they will determine if they want $30 more to replace the rod or if my $20 is enough. This is the first fishing rod I have ever seen break. It is junk.

Answer:	Dont buy the medium for stripes. My medium was incredibly fragile. Read the Kastking "warranty". You must mail a defective rod back along with $20. Then they will inspect it. If they feel like it wasn't defective, then they will require an additional payment of 1/2 price. If they determine it was 100% their fault, then they will keep your $20 to repair or replace it. I have never had a rod break in my life, before this one.

Answer:	Honestly, I wouldn't chance it. I own the 5000 series and it's only rated at 22lbs. I caught a 30lb carp and it was quite a task. Gar can reach 200+ lbs so I would use something a little more heavy duty. Something made for salt water.

Answer:	You are correct. There is a small hoop at the bottom section to anchor the line, but it is really up to you. I strung the line through the top eye and then wrapped it around the pole about two fee from the top, tied it tight and then covered it with duck tape. Not elegant, but it works.

Answer:	10 or 12 lb Stren Hi Vis Gold monofilament for your main line. If you can find a small spool, it's just a few bucks.

Answer:	I'm kind of a handyman type and am always using / inventing items differently from their intended use; however, I'm not sure how practical your modified use will work because the tip of the rod is very very fragile and because it is made from graphite, it is very brittle and will snap very easily. Because it is graphite, I assume that it will conduct electricity and if the constant snapping of the tip is of no concern, then I suppose it will work.The longest pole I have is 21' and the butt is about 1" thick and the tip is about the thickness of a pencil lead; if I shake it about 1/4" to 1/2" while holding it at the butt, the tip will whip about 3' or slightly more. So, it is very very whippy and very very delicate and will fracture if it happens to bump anything solid. My guess is that it is far too fragile for your intended use.
