Answer:	Yes, these reels will work in freshwater and saltwater, just make sure you select the appropriate size for your intended use. I will say that unless you are chasing large catfish, big carp, or other powerful and larger freshwater species, there is not a big reason to use a Slammer III in freshwater. The 6500III is good for big catfish and the 3500III and 4500III are solid options for channels and carp.

Answer:	30 pound is way too big for a 2500. 30 pound braid on a 4000 casts horribly. I use 4000 reels with 10 pound braid mostly. I have 30 pound on a 6000 reel and landed many sharks over 100 pounds. Some closer to 200

Question:	When the spool is rised up the bail gets stuck over it. Is that normal or is it a defect
Answer:	Not sure what you mean about the bail getting stuck over the spool. Is your bail open or closed and how does it get stuck? I ordered 2 and one of them had a spot right when the spool would reach the top while reeling it would stick a little. I decided not try and swap it out due to limited time. They both handled a heavy week of mackeral, amberjack, and shark without flaw. They were running 90lb braid and 5ft, heavy rods. I do recommend a good break down and cleaning of the internals after any extensive saltwater use.
Question:	What is the difference from the 8000 and the 1000 real. The lbs is the same on all when you click on the number
Answer:	Mike - an 8000 size spinning reel is a very large reel and has a large line capacity. The larger reels (6000 - 8000 size) are designed to fight large fish, plus with the added line capacity you can fish in depths of 100' to 200' and still have plenty of line should a large fish start 'stripping' line as they make their run. The larger reels have drag systems designed to withstand more line stripping should you hook up on a large fish. A 1000 size reel is a very small reel with minimal line capacity. You would select a 1000 size reel if you're fishing for smaller species of fish, although some anglers have the skills to catch sizable fish using 1000 and 1500 sized reels.

Answer:	I use 12lb mono and just don't have that problem! I do keep alot of pressure on line when spooling.

Answer:	I bought the 4000. Its rated for up to 35 mm or about 12 lbs mono. I doubt the 500 would cast well with 30 lbs mono...that's why I spoiled up with 30 lbs braid . Learn how to connect leaders to it and your good to go. Tons of YouTube videos teaching different knots for that. I don't have the specs for the 5000 but I'd say 20 pound mono is tops for it probably... I like smaller reels and lighter line anyhow, it's a personal preference to be able to cast farther.

Answer:	I spooled the 6000 with 330 yds. of 20lb. braided line. You can get an idea from this information how much the 5000 will hold.

Answer:	The Kastking Megatron 5000 is reated at 50 to 65 Pounds of Braided Line. A 10 Pound Line Line would work just fine. However to Fill the spool it would take over 200 Yards of braided line.

Question:	Does the sharky III 4000 have a bait clicker
Answer:	I have the 5000 and its line capacity is 190 yards of #40 braid. I put #30 to get 220 yards. The 5000 has the same weight as the 4000, 9.5 oz. Depend on the type of fish to catch, if you catch big jack it probably runs 190 yards of the #40 line out. If line capacity is important to you go with Daiwa BG 4500 and up, or step up to Penn Spinfisher V ssv6500. Hope this help.

Answer:	I have 2 of the 4000 models on my 7 foot rods. They work like a charm. The 3000 would probably work just fine but I got the 4000s for the added capacity for long distance fishing from shore.

Answer:	I bought 1,097 yard spool of 65 lb Kastking and spooled 3 of my reels with it. I used all of the line, and the third reel had a little less than the other two. I would say it would probably hold 400 yards or maybe a little more

Answer:	Depends what you're fishing for. I have a 2000 on my heavy action, I have a 20lb braid and bankfish for mostly stripers in the 5-15lb range. Most people would use a 3000 since you can get an extra 50 yards or so of line. I'm constantly on my pole so I don't get spooled.

Answer:	Hi, if you need ultra light, then 1000 FI is the smallest size from Shimano. C2000SFI is in the same size, but with lower small, thus if you use very small diameter line for your ultra light rig, C2000SFI may be even more suitable.
