Answer:	I use main braid and add about a ten foot fluro leader. However it depends what gear ratio you bought and what you are using the reel for. For the 7.4.1 I use 30 lb braid 12-14 lb fluro leader. I use this for all my jig set ups, rattle traps, spinner/ chatter bait ect 8.5.1 I’d use 50-65 lb braid for topwater frogs and for pitching and flipping into grass and pads. Also a heavier leader for clearer water but still to do the same technique17-20 pound fluro or 20 lb mono for a top water spook, popper or whopper plopper Any gear ratios 6.3..1 and under I use for cranking which then I sometimes use straight fluro 12-14 lb for 1/4- 3/8 oz square bills anything heavier use 15-17 lb fluro However this is all opinionated, every fisherman will tell you something different, however hopefully this helps. Answer:	I bought the 6500 but it was too small for my needs so I returned it.It did have a bait clicker though. You might want to take a look at the Daiwa saltist STTLWH-30 C LEVELWIND reel. Built like a tank and has a baitclicker. I love mine.
Question:	Is this reel salt water safe
Answer:	I'm sure there are others better qualified then myself to answer this. I have both reels, the short of it is the size and line capacity I use 20lb. line on the 6500 and 40lb on the 7000. I love both but both have a different purposes. It's all about the size of fish you plan to catch and the environment your fishing. If your like me I always plan to land that 100lb catfish and if I ever hook him I hope its on my 7000 reel and my heavy 8' Rippin Lipps rod. But most of the time the 6500 is a little easier to use with the lighter line and when hooking the less then 20lb. fish a lot more sport in getting them in. I hope this help.

Answer:	Not sure I'm clear on your question, but I'll try. There are two mechanisms for adjusting the braking of this reel. Depending on if you ordered Left hand or right hand reel. The firs is an obvious dial with a Min/Max Value you can adjust. The other is a round know on the crank side of the reel you can tighten or loosen depending on what weight lure you are casting. Answer:	Yea, I am from pa and last year I got unlucky right before vacation when all my spinning reels broke, so I bought this for the beach. I was able to use all my favorite saltwater lures and jigs. Recommend 12 lb test with a metal leader at end

Answer:	Hi, if you need ultra light, then 1000 FI is the smallest size from Shimano. C2000SFI is in the same size, but with lower small, thus if you use very small diameter line for your ultra light rig, C2000SFI may be even more suitable.
