Question:	Does it have auto-off? If so how long does it stay on
Answer:	Yes it does have an "auto off" function. Approximately 5 minutes. This is an excellent scale. Especially for the price.
Question:	Does it work well in the cold
Answer:	I have this unit and have used it quite a bit but not in severe cold. It worked well in temperature in the 30 range. I don't know how it would do below 30 degrees.
Question:	Does it read in pounds? If so does it read in tenths of lb
Answer:	Yes pounds are an option and it does read in tenths. The instructions say it has a 0.2 lb resolution. I have seen it give both odd and even tenths though it does seem to jump at least 2 tenths between most readings.

Answer:	I like the unit. That being said the first one I got had frozen controls and wouldn't get off the starting blocks. The replacement works but after the time spent figuring out programming left me happy that it provides basic tasks. I didn't even try to see if it had auto max hold. So the long short answer is I don't know.

Instructions:

1. Install the battery and hang up the scale with 2 randomly distributed "S" hooks. In the shutdown state, press "on key" to display "8888" on the screen. After stability, "0.00" will be displayed to enter the weighing state.

2. UNIT selection: use the "UNIT" key to select "KG conversion JIN" conversion Lb "and other 3 units.

3. Peel (reset); Zero on the "T" key.

4. Lock/unlock; Users can select lock or no lock by pressing "UNIT" for 2 seconds. "L-of" means no lock, and "l-on" means lock. When the locking function is selected, when the weighing is stable, the buzzer will make a long sound and lock the weight. At this point, press the "T" key to unlock. If you do not press the "T" button, it will unlock automatically after 15 seconds.

5. Shutdown and automatic shutdown. Press the "T" button to shut down manually. If there is no button operation or weighing operation within 120 seconds after starting up, the machine will be automatically shut down.
