| Answer: | The booklet that comes with the stone specifically states to soak in water and does not mention oil as an option. Perhaps an e-mail to the vendor can answer this question. I was taught that porous/synthetic stones should not use oil as it may defeat the bonding resins over time. However, these stones are not expensive so you could try kerosene or diesel. |
