| Answer: | Yes. In my six-monitor setup, I have it setup as four monitors, 3 individual (separate) displays across the top and as a three-across single 5076x1280 display across the bottom. The bottom three monitors act as one large display (great for gaming). What is nice is that while there are times you want to "span" monitors, sometimes you want individual displays instead and the Eyefinity software (for my AMD card) makes this easy to switch back and forth. Note that if your ATI (or Nvidia) card supports three simultaneous outputs out-of-the-box then you might not need this hub, but yes, you can stretch across monitors just fine. |

I spoke to tech support YESTERDAY that said that it wouldn't work, but it does. The i7 can push 3 monitors, and will turn it's own screen off. 2 monitors plus the on screen display, or 3 without the touch screen. This is for the i7 only, the i5 will not be able to support as many monitors. |

| Answer: | Actually what typically happens (as it did for the 960 4GB cards) is the release price (current price) is quite reasonable and albeit low for a card of this performance, then after they get enough sales to recoup what they spent on developing and making the cards, you'll see a initial price drop mostly in the form of sales during the holiday's, then the card will actually jump up considerably in price, but this is all speculative and depends on supply and demand. When the GTX 960 4GB SSC came out last year it hit the market at around $199 while the 2GB version hanged around $179, then it went up to $214.99 with the 2GB version going up to $189, then finally the 4GB SSC rested at $229.99 for several month's and today is right around $250 in fact now it's cheaper to get a 970 and if your CPU is good enough a 1060 or 1070.I would not be surprised if after the holidays the 1070 went up to $550-600 unless it's being considered by Nvidia to be the 970's replacement in which it might stay where it is now. Eye candy adjustments make for a higher quality render (fantastically clear video). The adjustments are, 1) higher resolution (including 4K), 2)more Anti aliasing, and 3)more Anisotropic filtering. The higher you adjust the eye candy, the lower the frame rates will be. Some games have frames that are very complex and are difficult to render. For these games, to adjust the eye candy to where you can still get descend playable frame rates; you will need to turn the eye candy down just far enough to where the frame rates are at a playable level (above 30fps). Better cards allow less of a compromise. Other games render easily. On these games, even on a lesser card than this one, you can turn the eye candy all the way up and still get descend playable frame rates. On "difficult to render" games like DOOM, high eye candy adjustments give you an advantage by making it to where you can see your enemies sooner. So if you play games like this, you should buy the best card you can afford. How powerful the computer is also plays a part in this. If the computer is not strong enough, this will restrict the potential of any high performance video card. Good video cards like this one are not just for gaming, they are generally more comfortable to view and easier on your eyes. |
